I guess I'll just never quite understand certain things about taste. Music is subjective as hell, of course. So I should probably stop getting so worked up about it, because it's not something one can figure out.
But you take a band like Hozier and you put their radio output next to Imagine Dragon's radio output and honestly, I can't tell the difference. But, for some reason Hozier's insanely popular in places like B&C and other Indie sites I frequent, but Imagine Dragons is bland and boring. Now, mind, I'm
only talking about radio. Neither band have impressed me to a point that I'm willing to listen beyond those singles. From what Travis told me, Hozier's album itself is really great. That may be so, I'll probably never know because I'm occasionally randomly archaic and still base my opinions on the radio.
So...yeah, sorry for being momentarily shitty about this.
