that opening would be really cool if they launched into Gone or HM, TM, or Until the end of the world- but Beautiful Day is so unclimatic because of the way it starts. The instrumental is a cool idea, but doesn't flow at all with BD.

I agree - I'm kind of waiting to see if BD is the permanent opener, or if they'll tweak the Stingray thingie to mesh better.

IWF and/or UTEOTW would be so awesome after Stingray, then follow that with NLOTH, Boots, MW, and THEN get to Beautiful Day.

The Stingray intro/song is pretty awesome. All it needs is the stadium lights off and there you go. Love Bono dancing in the catwalk yelling out "Torino". Though how it transitioned from Space Oddity wasn't good in my opinion. But it was a great way to open the show.
