EXTREMELY rare for U2 and very unlikely. I can't see what the change is in the setlist but what was posted if its from a crew sheet will be what they are playing tonight.

yep.. that's my guess as to the meaning of the tweet. They probably saw the setlist posted on one of the cameramen's rig in front of the stage or on the outside rail. I know a couple shows when I was at the rail i was able to see that.

Guitars are normally tuned to E. (E-A-D-G-B-E)

U2 often use E flat, particularly early stuff like BOY through WAR.

But for SBS, they pitched the guitar used down to C# on Vertigo and Elevation.

... somehow the fact that the strings are generally set/tuned that way in NO WAY reminds me( at least recently) that it is tuned to E.... *whimpers*
