I can personally recommend a Panorama Suite at Planet Hollywood.

www. planethollywoodresort .com/acc_panorama_suites.php

I don't know about how many people they'd let you have, but the fountain views are great. And, there's LOTS of lounging space.

I usually stay at Bally's or my friends' house.

how would your friend feel about 20 random people showing up at their house?

I think the number might be past that already! I'm not even sure I'll make the cut! We met through U2 and went to the Vertigo opener in SD together.

If I make it to Vegas for the show, I'll probably do Bally's. If anyone books Bally's, pay the extra money for the North Tower (renovated). The old tower is just depressing.

Bally's is pretty cool. I stayed there during CES, and surprise, the AVN awards were being held there as well. stilletos and glitter everywhere.

Mark is actually right, Bally's is a great place to stay.
And the suites would be cheaper.

CES/AVN shows....

I attended those for 11 years in a row. Crazy times, man...crazy.

Just got back from a weekend trip to Vegas and I kept thinking about how cool it's gonna be come October for U2! Have never met any Interference people, but when I went to the Hawaii Vertigo show, it was a blast hanging out with people in the GA line. Looking forward to that experience again.

Totally up for any kind of gathering!!

so, somebody make an exec decision on the hotel. I'm not going for a piece of floor, but I'd consider a share room. be forewarned, bring earplugs. otherwise I'm cool solo, but wanna be near the party!

I think a sign that says "U2 - DO ME" would make you a skank.
One guy--normal
4 guys--skank

That is a good idea about getting seats for LA and GA for Vegas. This is my first U2 show, LA is my hometown and I'm definitely there. I was thinking about Vegas but not sure because it was back to back w/LA. But now after reading all of your posts about how fun it is, I think I want to go. I would be going solo most likely and a little nervous about that part

So, RedRocks and anyone else coming from So Cal, coming from LA (sorry if I missed this in the thread) are you driving or flying to Vegas?

I'll definitely be driving. If going to Vegas for the 23rd and LA for the 25th (unless that changes), I was thinking we should leave Bakersfield on the 22nd, get in the GA line, book a room for the 23rd, then drive to LA on the 24th and get in the GA line for LA....

Does that sound reasonable? Too early or too late for the GA lines? Never done GA.

Editted: Because I want to at least be near to where the rail skanks are. :P

^^ if you're camping out overnight you should be right there with the rail skank brigade.

I'm doing GA but not waiting all night/day - for me the question is whether the spend Sat in Vegas or get to LA that day. probably depends on the party.

If you were staying on the strip & didn't rent a car, is there public transportation to the stadium? I'm just wondering... doesn't sound too far, I guess you could even take a cab.

(Sorry to change the subject, rail skanks.)
