If I can find a host for it, I've made a pretty sweet 20 minute HD video of their performance from the inner circle. I also have the whole show (minus the first minute or two of "Breathe") recorded with my voice recorder in pretty decent quality. =)

 Damn, those are some nice pictures. I need a photography lesson from all you guys... I have a more than decent camera (Sony DSC-HX1) but all the concert pictures are still extremely too bright...

Romi, here are more pics of you and Jen that I took from my seat on Thursday. Laura, I think you're on the first picture too.

OMG. That is so cool. I could name almost everyone on the rail that night. I'm in the first pic, all the way to the right. I have the black One bracelet on. I also see Ruffian in the 2nd pic

Thanks for this pic!!!!! I am crossed arms on the rail, black Tshirt, black 360 cap front view, left from Brad.
Cheers!!

That security guard was really pissing me off! I've never seen a guy hawk like he did. He wouldn't budge at all. I still got to smoke my ganja though. =)

:applaud::applaud: That is great!! I knew I would be getting many of you in those shots! I was just aiming my zoom camera to center rail. Does Ruffian have black hair, and was she at SNL too?

 u2mex!

Haha, that's the same security guy in front of me on 9/23. I kinda liked him because he kept an eye on circa1992 when she got light-headed. And dude, you weren't the one smoking a stogie on the first night, were you?? I hated the smell. And U2 wasn't even on stage yet!

Did you use flash? If so, turning it off will fix most of the extreme brightness.

I wouldn't really say pissed off, but the house lights staying on on the first and second level did take away a bit from the magic.

It was almost better staying in the top level cause of the houselights. Does Giants Stadium always pull that shit???

Hey All!
I think I've only posted on hear once or twice in the past, so hopefully you regulars will welcome the newbie! I'm not a NEW fan though....I've been a fance since 1980...saw U2 for the first time during The Unforgettable Fire tour...and that started it all. Anyway, I was at the second Giants stadium show...the first for this tour for me. My first time GA though. My friend and I Got there at 7 in the morning....and it actually ended up being such a pleasant experience. U2 fans are the greatest and I met some wonderful people....we ended up being within the first 100. Numbers 96 and 97 so we knew we were in good....I couldn't help but be so excited of the thought of actually being able to see the whites of their eyes!....and I did! My favorite moments of the show......The Remix of Crazy...not everyone likes it, but I loved the energy, and anything that gets Larry up and smiling, is good to me! Amazing Grace intro....beautiful! I loved seeing Bono sing HIS favorite song!
My gripe would be the same as Randhails.....maybe we were in the same area of GA together? Looking at the stage...left back against the rail? I too was so annoyed with people that were trying to push there way forward. Rediculous....ya know only a certain amount of people can fit...and ya know we're all as anxious to be close, but when you see that there isn't a space bigger than a....apple???!! Stay put....I witnessed an argument that just po'ed everyone around because we couldnt' hear MUSE at that point. Luckily fists didn't fly, but.....seriously, at a U2 concert???
Anyway, best experience of my life....and can't wait until I can see them in Philly!!!!

Most of the times I didn't use flash. They still turned out very bright. I used the automatic setting, because I didn't know how to manually set it. The auto setting I used are primarily sports and handheld twilight. When I turned on the flash just for trial and error, some of them actually turned out slightly better.

Nope. I was there both nights in the inner circle, but didn't smoke the first night. I smoked the second night and the experience was mind blowing! I was in heaven for even something as simple as MLK.

A bunch of pot heads lit up in front of me.. Kinda pissed me off as the smell was annoying, especially when the stoners started knocking into me when I took video.. I don't care what they did, but it bugged me..

/I used to smoke alot until I started getting panic attacks from it because I put it in my hookah.. I have some good stories from those days..good times!

Willie's take on the show, from his Tour Diary:

Thursday 24th September 2009. New York. Show 2.

There's something I haven't mentioned before as it didn't seem important, but in our control tower at front-of-house we have developed a little tradition over the course of the tour. Bowie?s 'Space Oddity' has been the final pre-show song and has pretty much become part of the show now, as the audience recognise it and know that the countdown has begun. There is a countdown in the song itself, followed by a great 'waa-waa-waa...' noise at which point lighting director Ethan would push a button to set off all the smoke machines in the 'pylon' of the stage. It's the beast waking up, the rocket firing, and it always gets a huge cheer from the crowd.

I'm not quite sure why, but for a while now we have had a different 'guest button pusher' each night. We get someone from the tour staff to come to the mix position and push the button. Most find this terrifying because at first glance it's pretty technologically intimidating up there but also because we don?t tell them what the button does. They push, look around in bewildered fashion then crack up laughing (or scream) when they realise what it is they are making happen - especially when the entire crowd starts cheering.

So that's the tradition and we've had all sorts of people be guest smoke operator, crew guys, management people, guests, friends of friends, and tonight... Nicole Kidman. I kid you not gentle reader, the actual Nicole Kidman pushed the button to launch the rocket.

I'm tempted to end the story there to leave a sense of mystery and wonder, but we went on to have such a great show that it would be a great waste. Tonight was one of those nights where everything came together. The old Giants Stadium is a great sounding building and Joe was clearly on a roll. The band were on cracking form, the set list was perfect for the audience... it was magical. Out front, up on the bridge of the Starship Enterprise, we were having a great time with a couple of surprise guests paying a visit, including Sir Mick Jagger himself. He was clearly enjoying himself, dancing with his two friends (one of whom was Nicole Kidman) and laughing whenever Bono would throw in a hook from a Rolling Stones song... Miss You, It's Only Rock and Roll, She's Like a Rainbow. Our celebrity guests stayed almost until the very end, just bailing before the houselights went up. As Nicole left (please note, we're on first name terms now) she promised she'd come and see us again. We await with baited breath...

It was a truly great night - we shall miss Giants Stadium when they tear it down. We joined the 'runner' to get back to Manhattan and perhaps overdid the exhortations to our driver not to lose his place in the posse. Due to our position lower down the food chain, the issue we often face in the runner is that we are in a van, following the band's cars. Sometimes the police escort include us within their vehicle group, other times we are simply following as best we can and hoping to not get left behind. Last night, after the first Giants Stadium show, we barely made it out of the parking lot before our rather timid driver had lost his place, other cars had cut in, the blue flashing lights were a speck in the distance and we were on our own to face the traffic with everyone else.

Similarly tonight we had hardly got started and our van had fallen behind the police escort with other traffic mounting up. Our cries of dismay seemed to do something slightly odd to our driver who, with dented pride, took the challenge in hand and absolutely went for it. Blinkers on and horn going, he floored the accelerator and did a Mad Max out of the parking lot, taking full advantage of the size of our vehicle, including driving over a grass verge and through an entry toll booth the wrong way. Amazingly, he did manage to catch up with the tail end of the police escort but wasn't content to leave it there and pulled up along side them as we neared the entrance to the Lincoln Tunnel. We were in the back, trying to maintain poise, assuring our possessed driver that this was far enough and that this would be the perfect time to stop driving like a maniac. But no! Through the Lincoln tunnel we went, and coming up the ramp on the Manhattan side our driver actually cut into the police escort, placing our large while minibus between Bono and Edge's cars. We were screaming by now and most of us had adopted the brace position from those aeroplane safety cards. The whole situation was exacerbated by the fact that the police were also clearly enjoying this midnight burn through mid-town, taking us through red lights and at one highly memorable moment, whilst clutching my head behind the drivers seat, I noticed that we had just shot past Macy's whilst on the wrong side of the road. We did get back to the hotel alive but I think we'll be a little more careful about winding up our drivers from here on in...

She did a good job haha. That is my favorite part of the show. Must be chilling to know you give 84,000 people goosebumps

Yeah we finally managed to figure out a way to keep our space  Those guys who came in front of us during Muse were so rude though

I was actually at the show the night before as well, however I had a seat in the stands for that one. It's definitely not the same though! I'll be going to the show in Philly as well for sure! It's much closer to my hometown (I live just outside of Atlantic City) although the show at Giants stadium was more convenient since my brother and I go to Rutgers. Hopefully our paths will cross again at the next show :hyper:

Airmarc1900....Maybe we will cross paths again! It's amazing how many people are finding me and vice versa....U2 fans are truly like no others! I saw the tour info for 2010...gotta say, I'm getting nervous. I really thought Philly would be in there....I heard rumors for July, but looks like that may not be the case. They wouldn't skip Philly would they???? YIKES! Good Luck at Rutgers!

I'm in that group too. I don't post a lot. Actually next to never

As I look at certain youtube vids, I finally saw how long Adam stayed above me on the bridge, it was almost the whole song of WOWY, we had such a good time with him up there, unfortunately you cant see me in the crowd cause I'm too short. :hyper:
