What type of camera to take with you to concert?

I like taking pictures/video of concerts. My question is what type of camera is best to do that. I am thinking about buying a DSLR when I head to London in a few weeks to see them live.

So in terms of concert rules and regulations in Europe, and in terms of my own ease and security, should I get a DSLR or stick to a simple point-and-shoot?
