Why is Coldplay different from any other concert when it comes to smoking pot?

I admit pot smoking at a Coldplay concert does surprise me. I mean they're not Dave Matthews Band.

I guess it is a sign that I must be getting older because, for the first time ever, I didn't smoke during a U2 show. Usually we bring in about 2 or 3 joints and enjoy them at various parts of the show. This time we just relegated our activity to the parking lot/car then we went in afterward. During the show, though, the smell of pot was quite pungent and a constant throughout U2's entire performance.
