I think that I will be taking a different route to Pittsburgh tomorrow. There has been a lot of flooding & damage to the roads, the way I usually go.

I went outside tonight to look at the stars and planets. It was 66 degrees with a delightfully cool breeze, and the katydids were in full force. I closed my eyes, and I could almost feel that I was on the front porch of my family's home place in Virginia.

Grieving over the death of my friend Beth, who was the manager of the place we like to stay on Sanibel Island, Florida. Don't know what happened, but she was the heart and soul of that place; and I will miss her terribly!
