No Man's Sky is exciting to me as well. It's a very original IP and this generation needs more of that, even if it's a total flop.

That sounds wonderful. Thanks for posting the article, Gump.

As great as a 65daysofstatic soundtrack will likely be, I can't wait to throw on some Explosions in the Sky and explore the galaxies.

The customization options for this game are out of control. Wow.

EDIT: November 10th. Can't fucking wait. It looks even better than I expected.

Also, that "spoiler" post I made a page or two ago was way off after all. Probably just got lucky on the timing and did a good job collecting rumours.

Watching the Sony presentation now. Gonna be a lean year, but there's so much potential going forward. Countless games I'm excited about (not BLOPS3).

Nintendo's presentation was hot garbage. Star Fox, Wooly World, Mario Maker and Mario Tennis are the only worthwhile games confirmed for the next two years.

Microsoft's presentation was good too, but the peripherals (hololens) and features (backwards compatibility) interested me more than the games. Halo obviously. Some of the indies looked great, like Cuphead. But I think Sony had more future games I'd want.

My PS3 finally died last night. I went to do a couple laps on Gran Turismo, it made a squealing noise, sounded like it was groaning in agony and refused to send video to the screen. I tried all the troubleshooting tips I could find for a few hours before finally giving up. It sounds like it's in pain when it turns on, I feel like I should take it out back and shoot it to put it out of its misery.

Now that I have a nice gaming PC and very few games I like don't come out for PC these days, I doubt I'll be getting a PS4 unless there's something truly unique and/or practical that comes out for it.

Speaking of old gaming systems, my parents were cleaning out my old bedroom closet yesterday while getting ready to move and found my old Commodore 128. I know it still works perfectly, and I've got 100 or so games for it too - some are common classics, some are really rare, and some my dad made. There's even a disk of some ultra-primitive "porn" in there (a bright green unmarked floppy disk that was stashed at the back of the disk case that my dad somehow got a hold of when I was little - I found it when I was 8 and had no idea what I was looking at  ). I can't decide whether I want to sell it now since there are a couple of C128s on eBay going for about $350 with 5ish games, and I have a monitor and joystick as well to include which none of the others do, or if I should keep it and see if it increases in value as they get older and rarer.

What do you guys think?

I don't play much anymore but I've always been a nintendo fan since the super NES days, so I was shocked when I read that satoru iwata passed away (55 is way too young to die so suddenly)

Anyone playing Arkham Knight? Holy Batman, is the Batmobile fun.

I'm still a bit mixed on Arkham Knight, but the batmobile is cool. It's a good game, but I'll have to play it through again before I can make a full judgement on it.
Arkham City is still the best of the 4 imo. But the 2nd half of the game was disappointing. Having to go back to places you've already been multiple times was pretty lazy by the game developers. There were so many other options than going back to Steel Mill or Subway Station multiple times. Origins was a massive disappointment because the plot line was so terrible and having to fight Bane 3 times.

I'd say Arkham Knight is the 2nd best in the series. Hopefully they make a game about events between Origins and Asylum. They have a ton of potential for that time gap. Maybe something different like playing the entire game as someone like Harvey Dent and chronicle his becoming of Two-Face.

Admittedly I am not to far into it right now, so not sure how the story develops. I'm just having loads of fun with the who Batmobile-eject-glide combos. I never played Origins, though, so it's a somewhat seamless transition from Arkham City into this one.

Two weeks to go until Fallout 4. I've been playing New Vegas over the last few days. No bugs yet, but it hasn't really caught my attention.
