I borrowed a Pantech Matrix from a friend to try it out, and well, it's a decent phone. But holy hell, the thing is FULL of bloatware. Half the stuff on the menu requires you to buy something, there are buttons on the phone itself which require you to buy stuff, my address book has eight unremovable AT&T contacts, etc. It feels like I'm on one of those shady sides with ads popping up everywhere. ...um, does anyone know how to get rid of these?
Are all AT&T phones like this now? I had a RAZR for the longest time and it wasn't as much of a problem. I am looking for a newer phone though. I couldn't afford something like the iPhone or most other smart phones, but I do want the best I can get. My "phone" would more accurately be more of a techno-gadget described in that other thread. Any recommendations?
