How to rip DVDs to iPod

Hi all you experts!

I've bought Chicago, Slane, Zoo TV DVDs in the past and yesterday I ordered an iPod. My old one had broken. This new one does videos of course.

How do I put the DVDs onto the iPod? Ideally I would break the dvds down into each song, so I can see whats playing and choose what to play. I'm sure it can be done somehow but I'm not sure how?

By the way I am quite good on computers, I though I could figure this out on my own but apparently not...

Any help is appreicated!

OK sorry to be a pain but I'm going to bump this up again.

Is there a way to do this?

Am I being stupid?

Is it too easy/too hard to explain?

Any advice is appreciated!

I don't suppose a mod would feel like editing my title to make it a question? Maybe that way it would get read.
