I have a wireless connection that I set up a year or so ago. I want to use another laptop on it but as it's secure I'm being asked for the key or password or whatever. How do I look up the settings in the first laptop so I can enter them in the second laptop? :der:

That entirely depends on the brand of the router.

You have some that need you to go to an internet adress(par example 192.168.1.1 was my old router's) and then login to the settings, standard login/pw is admin/admin.

it should be in your manual for sure.

Yeah, if you don't have the key, you'll need to check on the router itself. If it does not show you in clear text, you could just make up a new one and switch both computers.

or i know if you have a mac (for the first comp where the wireless is already set up) you can view what the password is. open network preferences, click the "advanced..." button, single click the network, and press the edit button (it looks like a pencil). it'll open the info and just tick the box "show password" and it'll display it for you :)
