have you ever sent in your ipod for service?

I'm curious, if my ipod is acting up by constantly freezing and being nearly 10x slower than it was before, does this mean it should be sent back?

my ipod has never acted up or anything and I've taken good care of it. would this be service-worthy? would I need to get it fixed or is there any other way of fixing this problem?

(sorry if it's a very faq. it's my first time having issues with my ipod and I've had it since last May..)

If you've tried everything else on the Apple support website, I would say that you should contact them to get it serviced. I just had to contact them because the lovely exclamation point folder came up and won't go away even when I restored it, so I'll be getting a new one within a few days.

Question for you guys......

10 gb iPod.....the 3rd gen, I think........it has the 4 small buttons on top of the wheel.....

It shows the iPod Dock connector plug on the screen......and it will not do anything.

I tried to reset it, but nothing happened...
