ok, it's been a VERY long time since i've updated my ipod.
i've never had a way to update it at home prior to getting my laptop.
i've always had to rely on going to a friend's house to update it.

so finally i'm adding some CDs to it to get ready for my big trip this week.
only stupid me can't remember how to do it! :reject:

i've put the CD in.
opened itunes.
the CD seems to copy into my library.
but from there i can't seem to get the songs to my ipod.
i know i'm missing something really simple.

 :banghead:

Is your ipod connected to your PC?
I do mine so automatically now that I had to think about your question. So I hope I have not left out a step.
So connect the ipod to the PC (open itunes) and it should update automatically.
You can update manually, but I am not familiar with that.
When you have itunes up you should see it talking (downloading) your music.
Good luck and enjoy your big trip next week

If I have left a step out, could someone please add.

lol yes the ipod is connected to the PC.
i have it set to update manually since i've always used a friend's computer so i don't mess up their settings.
i just wish i knew which step i'm forgetting.
i know it's something simple lol.

i was hoping to have all this stuff done by tonite so i'm not up till 3am tomorrow night :sigh:

well i think i finally got it to work.
i told you it was something simple lol.
i guess i forgot to drag the files from the playlist to my ipod.

i also updated the ipod software.

so i'm not sure which was the actual problem but it's working now.

well except one of my CDs won't load at all so i guess when i bought it used i bought a lemon.
