Audacity

Has anyone got any experience w/this program? I've ripped streams to mp3s with this program fine, but when I tried to convert a .wav to an mp3, it doesn't work one bit. The mp3 result doesn't play at all in winamp. I've got the lame mp3 dll codec already installed and whatnot, but I don't know what's wrong at all.

I'm not picky with audacity though, if there is any other free program out there that could do the same thing for me without much of a problem, I'll give a shot as well.

I never knew you could convert with Audacity... I only edit audio with it... perhaps try another program to convert files? I use Super(from eRightsoft, google it) and that works fine for me
