Anyone here use the chat client Fire for Mac Os X?

I've having trouble with file transfers. I get a message saying "waiting for user to accept" and that is all I see. No matter how long I wait, I never even get a timed out message. The other person gets a failure delivery notice immediately after they accept. And if someone tries to send me a file, it's the same thing, only in reverse. I get the failure message, they get the waiting for user to accept.

I'm still new to Macs and Fire. Fire's forum was useless. All anyone there told me to do was check my preference panel and make sure Personal File Sharing was allowed under the firewall and the box was checked for Passive FTP mode. Both were okay.

I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, and it still isn't working.

Also, I had used Fire's file transfer before, without any problems and I haven't changed any settings since then, either.

Anyone have any other suggestions? I've tried everything I know how to do. I like Fire and I'd like to be able to fix this, but if not, anyone have any suggestions for another Mac OS X multi client?

I've never had trouble transferring files with my mac

I always transfer through AIM though
