It was somewhere inbetween. The show peaked in episodes 3-5.

I thought the finale was easily one of the most memorable of the eight episodes. The "Carcosa" sequence. McConaughey's monologue. That final line.

Not as good as eps 4 and 5, but probably my third favorite episode overall.

I pretty much can't stand the cast. And the location simply sucks. This means that I'll probably like the show more than I thought I could.

This trailer ain't doin much for me, and I wish Vince Vaughn wasn't here, but I'm still in.

Maybe they'll finally reveal who the true detective is.

The cast is... problematic, to say the least.

But I've been surprised before.

The trouble with this whole completely unrelated anthology-type show is that I have no particular reason to watch this. I mean, it might be good, but right now I have no particular reason to want to watch this.

I personally don't think that Vaughan and Farrell are even remotely in the same league as McConaughey and Harrelson. Not even close. I will happily watch to perhaps be proven wrong...but something tells me the supporting cast is going to steal this...
