a friend emailed this to me yesterday, and i decided to share this with you.

Did you know the difference between "Patriot" and Traitor" is just two letters? Not surprisingly, those letters are "PR". Here are some examples:

We know that Saddam Hussein has Anthrax, as well as botulism and bubonic plague, because the Reagan Administration GAVE him the starter cultures.
The emissary on that mission? None other than Donald Rumsfeld. Don't believe me? Type "Rumsfeld" + "Anthrax" + "Iraq" into your search engine.

Boy that Dick Cheney sure is a patriotic guy - he'd never give aid and support to our enemies, right? Think again. As CEO of Halliburton, he went around the UN embargo by using foreign subsidiaries Dresser-Rand and Ingersoll-Dresser Pump to rebuild Saddam Hussein's oil infrastructure just three years ago. Not only did he seek to do business with Mr. Hitler-with-a-bigger-mustache, he actually broke the law for the privilege!
Estimates of the deal vary from between 23 and 78 million dollars, but Cheney's take amounted to approximately thirty pieces of silver (adjusted for inflation from 33 A.D.) Need proof? Type "Halliburton" + "Iraq" into your search engine.

Admiral John Poindexter, recently put in charge of going over your e-mails and credit card receipts, is a convicted felon who sold Stinger missiles to the Iranians, used the profits to fund an international terrorist
organization, and then lied to congress about it. Along with the Stinger missiles, Poindexter also delivered to the Ayatollah a Bible and a key-shaped cake. Go ahead and and call us democrats as unpatriotic as you like, at least we didn't bake any stinking cakes for the Ayatollah.

Too young to remember this? Keywords are "Poindexter" + "Iran".

Worried that you or a loved one may have to serve in the Persian Gulf? Take a tip from the President: "George Bush" + "AWOL"

To put all this in perspective, remember that Bill Clinton was hounded for six and a half years by the GOP over a two-bit Arkansas land deal where he actually lost money. Throughout his presidency, Bill Clinton was accused of practically every crime in the book except the one he was actually guilty of: not being a member of the Republican Party.

Let's face it, if any of these clowns had been democrats, the GOP wouldn't be putting them into high office, they'd be putting them to death. For their own sake, please encourage your local democratic party representatives to grow a spine. Quickly. Failing that, here's some advice from Billy Bragg: "Start your own revolution and cut out the middleman."

somewhat embarassing for the united states, yes? oh, but its just business. take a look at my sig. its what the games all about.

Heh...isn't that the truth?

deathbear,

Didn't you get the memo?

These items are not on the 'approved list' of talking points.

Now, lets get back on point. We must stop evil doers.

One nation under god. More tax cuts to fight the deficit.

Limited thermal nuclear war may be our only option.

well i agree, except for the limited aspect to thermal nuclear war. theres no reason why the world cant combine all nukes and just blow this planet to bits.

Taking your bets now, ladies and gentleman...

I wager that within one hour and forty-seven minutes someone will accuse all of us in this thread of being anti-American, Saddam-Hussein-loving, card-carrying-Socialists who should just all move to Sweden.

Within the half-hour, I'd say. You're all anti-American, Saddam-Hussein-loving, card-carrying-socialists who should just move to Sweden.

Just kidding.

Actually, I'm not sure that many people are going to deny the points raised in the original email. Most of it is fact. It's in the interpretation that your shitstorm is going to fall.

i feel like saying something that wouldnt really fit with the conversation at hand right now. wait, i just did.

So that's what it was; I thought I was Bono with boobs!

You know, your last avatar was much better than this one. 2-dimensional smilies were bad enough.

Watch it. My boyfriend made that.

and last time i asked where the beach was, he indicated with his massive howitzers just how to get there. hes got huge arms, so be careful. any of you that are going to fight sicy's boyfriend should go for the knees. hes got a bad left knee, so take him out there then run for your car and drive...really fast.

That's pretty much it.

The author seems oblivious to the fact that a quick Google will yield plenty of differing opinions on the subject at hand.

It kind of reminds me of when Noam Chomsky says stuff like "it is obvious that the United States is a leading terrorist state."

uh hello speedracer. i did go to, ok yahoo not google, but whatever, and you will find lots if you do it.

U.S. supplied the kinds of germs Iraq later used for biological weapons
By MATT KELLEY

WASHINGTON (AP) - Iraq's bioweapons program that President George W. Bush wants to eradicate got its start with help from Uncle Sam two decades ago, according to government records getting new scrutiny in light of the discussion of war against Iraq.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention sent samples directly to several Iraqi sites that United Nations weapons inspectors determined were part of Saddam Hussein's biological weapons program, CDC and congressional records from the early 1990s show. Iraq had ordered the samples, claiming it needed them for legitimate medical research.

<snip>

-----------------

So were Iraq's claims that they wanted the anthrax for medical research credible at the time? I don't know. Possibly not, though the fact that it was the CDC that sent the anthrax and not the Pentagon lends credence to the theory that it was medical research anthrax, not weaponized anthrax.

Anyway, I think I've made my point that when discussing a shocking and controversial piece of information, referencing a search engine is not a substitute for an argument.

hmmm....cow the email is interesting. i think my sister was the one talking to me about Michael Moore's Old White Men book in which he talks about ken lay's ties to Bushie...Moore wrote that chapter way before enron went under.

if you think the government is serving you, think again. that is of course unless you have lots of money and live in texas.

I think my extensive posting here is going to make the FBI, CIA and VP Dickie a little suspicious so I better stop now while I'm ahead.

and thats no joke sharky. there is a real reason why the rage against the machine message board was closed after 9/11.

cant have any voices against the commander in chief of the wehrmacht...

Ah, there you go with your subtle little Bush Administration/Third Reich comparisons, deathbear. Perhaps you should take a closer look at Baghdad if you really want to see similarities.

oh bama, i agree that iraq has a terrible government in place. but since the western world is expected to lead by example, then maybe we SHOULD lead by example.

and how come noones argueing the main article yet?

Can I remind everyone to watch the Third Reich comparisons, please? I think we've established that we all need to tread carefully when those allusions start coming up.
