Justin24 said:My mom is from Guatemala and my Dad's mom was from Guatemala. I am so sick of these illegal immigrants. Coming over here breaking the law by running accross the border. Spending my money.
Ohh I have to feed my kids, I came here for a better life, cause I am to STUPID to figure out how to better my country, so I think I will go to someone elses country and turn it into little Mexico or some other third world country.
joyfulgirl said:You are offensive. And you should really watch who you call stupid especially since we've all read your very well-informed and well-articulated posts.
BonoVoxSupastar said:You are just saying the same things over and over, that don't make sense, concocting absurd theories, and rewriting history...
Your prisoner theory.Justin24 said:
Can I please have some examples of rewriting history and absurd theories. Do you have a large population of illegal immigrants where you live?
Justin24 said:
Do any of you have to deal with illegal immigrant populations in the millions (especially here in CA)?
BonoVoxSupastar said:
Your prisoner theory.
And the idea that at one point we farmed without taking advantage of free or cheap labor...
Should I go on?
I grew up in TX. Housing, hotels, landscaping, roadwork, etc would be a lot more expensive if it weren't for illegal immigrants. The economy benefits.

Then don't ignore it in your posts and call people lazy.Justin24 said:
First off I know we had "cheap labor" back then, it was called "slavery" and it is a black stain on this country.
You want convicted criminals running around in your backyard, access to your tractors and having free access to the highways? Seriously, think out your theories. The cost of implementing such a program would outweigh all costs you think immigrants cost you now.Justin24 said:
Why not use drug users or burgalers to farm for us?
It allows people who couldn't otherwise provide for their own families a means to give them a better life. And it benefits US economies because they are willing to do the jobs that no one else will.Justin24 said:
So does this new form of cheap labor that comes from the south mean they are a new form of slave labor, no rights, very low pay, and no benefits. So your in support of that? If they came here legally then they would have all the same benefits as us.

I don't think you can just assume it all equals out.

randhail said:I know that illegals play an important role in the economy. I don't think that's necessarily a good thing, but it is what it is.
Why can't they pay taxes? Force them to have documents. If they really want a better life, then they should be made aware that a better life includes paying taxes. Taxes suck, but we pay them, why shouldn't they have to? As long as they contribute to the system then they can have access to schools, etc.

In farm fields only. Plus this would help reform a person, instead of thinking about who they might shank next.
randhail said:How does cheap labor go away if you tax them?
randhail said:And minimum wage is $5.15/ hour. That's not exactly breaking the bank. How is that not cheap labor?
Justin24 said:Well true about containing the criminal since there already 12 million illegals who already broke the law.
BonoVoxSupastar said:
Let's not forget those that hire them are breaking the law as well. So that puts about every major industry in the states.

Including numerous politicians with nannys, gardeners and the like.
Justin24 said:Ok what would you say if the 11 people could stay, but then we build a secure boarder and have that guest worker program then, would you object to that??
