Gee, celebrity endorsements worked so well in this election.. let's try it with the palestinians!

P.S. I didn't know everyone else in other countries thinks Bush is a moron! Can I have my vote back?
Let's see, what is everyone else in the world in favor of? Socialism, Yasser Arafat, blaming America for everything, the UN, International criminal court, international taxes, murderous dictators in power, etc.

Who needs freedom, prosperity, wealth, opportunity, independence and all that good stuff?

What endorsement?

Unfortunately you can not take your vote back.

But, we will accept your apology.

You mean like those of Schwarzenegger, certain athletes, and of course Jesus?

Wow you have such an astute understanding of the rest of the world. Good for you.

No, didn't mean Jesus. I don't remember Him endorsing anyone..... but there's Barbara Streisand, Ben Affleck, Sean Penn, Susan Sarandon, Tim Robbins, Dave Matthews (urrrgh), and.... oh yeah...... just about every other celebrity (I forgot all their names)....

your turn......

I probably have a more astute understanding of how this country works than how the rest of the world works but I know we're a lot better off than the rest of the world and I can put 2 and 2 together.

Washington, Franklin and Jefferson weren't brain surgeons after all.

You're right he didn't endorse anyone. He endorsed casting a vote. In fact, I agree, fair elections are good, so in a sense he was speaking for me. But to claim to speak for the world because you starred in a few average flicks that the majority of Palestinians probably haven't seen is sort of silly.

It's like David Beckham promoting the NFL or something

two were slave owners and the other frequented prostitutes

I know we're a lot better off than the rest of the world

most of the world, I might agree

an honest person would have to agree we are not better off than when W became president

I disagree. Where is the average USA persons standard of living ranked this days?

/sidetrack

this is a fair point, but the American in me feels the need to point out that one reason people like Australians, Canadians, Scandinavians, and most of Western Europe have such high standards of living and generous social benefits is because the live under the military umbrella of the United States -- where would Canada be if it had to fund a navy that could adequately defend it's coasts? same with Australia?

now, this is a reason why i often feel the urge to emigrate to said places, but you can't discount the very palpable positive effect US military hegemony has upon the standards of living in the countries with whom we are allied.

But to claim to speak for the world

I think most of the world did want a valid, successful election in Palestine.

This is a first step to a solution to Israeli/ Palestine conflict
This conflict is a major factor in recruitment by "terrorist".

You're right. Since W became president we had 9/11, corporate scandals, an economic downturn as a result and a costly, deadly and difficult war.
But I am an honest person and I believe we are better off BECAUSE he is president as opposed to Gore or Kerry.

I also belive we are worse off because of Clinton, Albright and Co.'s daydreaming and poll driven policy during N Korea, Iran, Middle East .
