Also, a lot of these issues take time to resolve, we've got decades of issues relating to the war on drugs and crime to sort through. Add in problems with special interest groups and corporate influence and whatnot and that can complicate things as well. Anyone who actually does their job as a leader instead of spending all their time tweeting about whatever they saw on TV that day would understand that.

I’d say tonight was less catastrophic for Trump but I don’t think he did anything that would help undecided voters swing towards him. He didn’t succeed with the Hunter Biden talk like he had planned on.
