I'm sure Trump did this book with Woodward and allowed himself to be recorded all because of his massive ego and narcissism. He just loved that one of the most famous reporters in history wanted to write about him.

Plus he just thinks he can easily manipulate and control and bullshit anyone. That's what he's done his whole life. That and outright lies and criminal behavior.

It’ll be interesting (and scary) to see how the vote by mail is affected by Trump and Dejoys tactics. They didn’t have to completely dismantle the process, only create the illusion

We do not win by mail. Dems have to show up in person.

I feel especially sorry for people of color as their experience will be far worse than any of ours. Long waits, broken machines, harassment, and of course potentially shitty weather to stand in.

It's pretty simple. The guy that has screamed for months that the suburbs are going to be overrun with "those people" who will burn down your American dream house, didn't want to cause panic.

I'd say elderly and disabled are the ones i feel sorry for. They literally can't get to the polls in person. I'm going in person to cast my useless vote in TN. I just hope that we get a lot more people doing in person early voting or dropping off ballots instead of mailing them. Although, I think the mail will fine if people just vote as early as they can.

It will be interesting because Trump has had many republican Gov's and house members telling him that this USPS game he is playing will actually hurt him more than help him.

We shall see.

I already requested my mail in ballot. Will find out from my town if they're going to have a drop box at the town hall or somewhere else. I'll bring it there.

I read that Trump was bitching about drop boxes recently. He wants to get rid of those too. He'll stop at nothing.

Mary Trump's book gives so much insight into his malignant narcissism and how his family created that in him. Lying, cheating, stealing-all part of the playbook for generations.

Trump always thinks that he can outsmart anyone. Usually he's wrong. And he definitely was this time.

Will Lady G definitely doesn't need this to fall on him when he is in a tied race with his opponent. Sad to see. :D

Looks like they're going to throw Lady G under the bus for the Woodward book.

It honestly serves him right.

While it's absolutely Trump's fault for speaking to Woodward 18 bloody times, I have zero sympathy for Graham.

Anyone who hasn't realized that with Trump it's only a question of WHEN and not IF you get thrown under the bus is too stupid to be alive.

so it seems pretty safe to say, in light of the confirmed Fallwell Jr. blackmail, that Trump is blackmailing Lady G as well.

Ivanka Trump, just like DADDY.

Champion of empowering women, except for her own sister. What a phony just like DADDY.

Mercury News

Long before Ivanka Trump included women’s empowerment in her White House portfolio, she promoted her reality TV career and clothing company by branding herself as an advocate for women achieving personal satisfaction and success.

Somehow, though, Ivanka Trump’s interest in women’s empowerment didn’t always extend to her younger half-sister, Tiffany Trump — especially when Tiffany tried to explore a role in their father’s life that Ivanka felt belonged exclusively to her, wrote Michael Cohen, Trump’s former personal attorney, in his new book, “Disloyal: A Memoir.”

In the Trump family, 26-year-old Tiffany Trump was referred to as the “red-haired stepchild,” one of the many ways Cohen said she was disparaged and treated differently than her siblings. Cohen wrote that Ivanka Trump joined in this “casual cruelty” because she “jealously guarded her position as Trump’s favorite and surrogate, even at the expense of her vulnerable younger sister.”

Cohen’s observations about the Trump family’s dynamics come in his new book, which was released Tuesday. It also comes two weeks after Tiffany Trump tried to show her love for her father by touting his greatness as president at the Republican National Convention.

“A vote for my father … is a vote to uphold our American ideals,” the recent Georgetown University law school graduate said in her speech.

Political observers thought it curious that Tiffany Trump didn’t try to humanize Trump in her speech by sharing personal accounts of him being a doting father. Instead, she offered familiar GOP talking points about his administration’s policies. Her speech incited Twitter jokes about her being Trump’s “forgotten child,” desperate to win his attention.

Cohen’s book comes out as he is on home confinement, serving out the remainder of a three-year prison sentence he received after pleading guilty to charges of lying to Congress and violating campaign finance laws for paying off porn star Stormy Daniels and another woman who said they had affairs with Trump. Cohen has said the hush-money payments were at president’s behest.

Trump on Tuesday blasted Cohen in a tweet as a “convicted lier,” while the White House called his book “fiction,” saying he lost all credibility when he lied to Congress.

Cohen wrote that his own daughter, Samantha, was “amazed and appalled” at how Trump treated the only daughter he had with his second wife, Marla Maples, Cohen wrote. Samantha had become close friends with Tiffany when both were students at the University of Pennsylvania, and she didn’t like the Trumps because of “their incessant competitiveness and egomania,” Cohen wrote.

“I also really felt for Tiffany and the way she was treated,” Cohen wrote. “The pecking order of the kids was painfully apparent. Trump was very specific about his views on the importance of female beauty in measuring the value of women, including inside his own family.”

Trump liked to boast about having Ivanka Trump step in on his behalf and take meetings with older male business associates, Cohen said. Trump figured the men would be susceptible to Ivanka’s “charms.”

“They can’t think straight when they’re around her,” Trump told Cohen, about deploying his elder daughter in business situations. “They can’t keep their eyes off her.”

Trump, however, didn’t think so highly of Tiffany, who is 12 years Ivanka’s junior, according to Cohen.

“The beauty myth cut both ways in the Trump family,” Cohen wrote.

After Tiffany graduated from college, she asked her father to call Anna Wintour, the editorial director of Condé Nast, to arrange an internship at Vogue magazine. Cohen said he and Ivanka Trump were present when Trump mused on whether to support Tiffany’s idea of pursuing a career in fashion.

“I don’t think Tiffany has the look,” Trump said to Cohen and to Ivanka Trump, who had worked as a model in her teens. “She just doesn’t have what you have, honey.”

“I agree, Daddy,” said Ivanka Trump, according to Cohen. That was how the future president and his oldest daughter referred to each other: “Daddy and honey,” Cohen added.

“She just doesn’t have the look is the right way to say it, Daddy,” Ivanka Trump agreed.

Before Trump launched his divisive and controversial run for president, Ivanka Trump was the daughter who could expect flattering coverage in the pages of Vogue magazine. In a lengthy 2015 profile, the magazine portrayed her as the elegant and moderating antidote to his crass rhetoric and sense of style. To Vogue, Ivanka Trump was a glamorous socialite and reality TV star, as well as a hard-working wife and mother who had stepped out from beneath the shadow of her famous father to launch her “Women Who Work” clothing and lifestyle brand.

“Young professionals don’t usually have pop-culture relevance,” Ivanka Trump told Vogue, saying she got fan mail from girls who wanted to grow up to be just like her.

Meanwhile, Tiffany Trump didn’t pursue a career in fashion and instead studied law at Georgetown University. She is known to have had a complicated relationship with her domineering father. Some reports say the relationship was distant, largely because she was raised on the West Coast by her mother. Trump and Maples divorced in the 1990s.

In recent weeks, Tiffany Trump has had to deal with new reports about her difficult relationship with her father. Madeleine Westerhout, a loyal former White House aide to President Trump, opened up in her new memoir about losing her job in 2019 because she dished too much about Trump’s feelings about Tiffany during an off-the-record, “wine-filled” dinner with reporters.

An admittedly tipsy Westerhout had told reporters that Trump thought his younger daughter was overweight and didn’t like being photographed with her.

Westerhout explained to People how she apologized to Trump and how she had attempted to apologize to Tiffany, texting her, “I am so sorry. I hope one day you can forgive me.” Westerhout told People she had yet to receive a response from Tiffany.

I, too, am beginning to wonder why Bob Woodward failed to warm us about the dangers of COVID this causing the needless death of tens of thousands.

He’s a journalist. It’s his job to be president.

I also love Trump's suggestion that he had to lie to Americans in order to not cause panic or a frenzy.

It suggests that he believes that Americans are unique snowflakes who cannot handle a pandemic unlike literally every other nation in the world (save for North Korea), whose leaders stepped up and provided relevant information and introduced protocols to save lives, manage hospitals and so on. I mean, it's offensive as hell.

9/11, aka as the one day Republicans pretend to care about NYC so that they can score political points.

Fox and Friends has already used 9/11 to make excuses for Trump's Woodward tapes. They had Ghoulianni on, and said, "You heard about the attacks, you didn't run out and hold a press conference to panic people right?"

Imagine if we had a woman leading the country! No way could she keep her emotions in check! It would have been mass chaos!!! /sarcasm

Not to mention that his entire strategy as "President" involves hyped up imaginary fear and panic. By him and his cohorts, on a daily basis. Fear of black and brown people, fear of Antifa, protesters, crime, women, suburban invasion, Socialists, liberals. And more.

But he needed to protect us from panic about covid lol.

Reminder. Cults are very often dangerous things. Just incredible to think that a cult could have be nurtured and created that encompasses nearly a third of the country's population. Absolutely mind-boggling and ripe for psychological study.

It is a death cult. Most shrug it off going off of past experiences with cults. Before internet and social media these things take a long time to build.

Wasn’t there a saying that difference between a cult and religion is about 100 years.

Now id give it about 10 months.

These peoples minds are gone. Ask yourself this, if Trump said “Kill every reporter covering this rally!”

How many people would try ?
