Right but I think they’re one in the same. The Sec of State is going to each county elections official and saying “how many ballots do your precincts still have?” and summing them up. NYT/CNN/FOX/AP is probably doing the exact same thing through their local affiliates. The “estimate” part is likely associated with provisionals, overseas arrivals, and general human error. I trust that short of total human error, the values provided by the NYT would in fact sum up to the SoS’s value if it was from the same timestamp. Just keep in mind that the SoS is probably talking in “pre-reported” values so that’s ballots left to count.

My hope and dream is that he'll be too busy with his legal battles (and potential criminal charges/jail time) to be able to fuss with any of that stuff.

If he does try for any kind of post-White House life outside of that, though, ideally, I would hope that everyone would just ignore it and not give him the attention he craves. I doubt that'll happen, but again, talking hopes and dreams here.

I'm sure it was just a slip-up but this is missing 7400 votes in CLAYTON, the most Dem county in the entire state. That *should* be a 5-6k Biden margin.

The anxiety tends to color our perception of what’s really happened and I’m guilty of it too. The stakes are so damn high with this election and most of us really wanted some form of “blow out” to show ourselves and rest of the world that this isn’t the country we live and care about.

Because of our system tho, social and regular media, and a global pandemic it’s more pressure on our nerves.

Where i struggle is that the Dems don’t really seem to learn from most mistakes. Nancy lost seats in the house because she didn’t follow through with what the people voted for, to be a check on Trump. Regardless of outcome it never felt like the Dems did anything but tweet until Trump made it so obvious to impeach they had no choice.

There’s still some hope with a Biden presidency but they cannot act like business as usual. We need to see a fight

Yeah but every blue county seems to have reported sans Cobb. The margins on Fulton etc seem to be done as per NYT, hence the >98

Agreed but we don’t know what update includes what values. It’s the discrepancy in reporting between counted ballots and reported votes.

Tump's lead has shrunk from 1 percent to 0.37 to 0.3 and there are many more votes to be counted in counties Biden's won. Doesn't that bode well?
