Most of us don’t want to die for the DOW

And possibly seeing our Commander in Chief make embarrassing comments after comments doesn’t help.

I take partial offense at this "America Sucks" cobl.
Don't forget it was the Electoral College that got us Drumph. Hillary got the popular vote (and I like Hillary).
Not mention the repugs supercharged gerrymandering to distort the vote. Plus other voter suppression.

As for the "exceptionalism" I'd say the 'Bill of Rights' was/is rather exceptional - even if it ONLY applied to landed white men at the start.
The best idea of America is kind of exceptional. However we have acted terribly, and horrificaly at times.

the UK had a bill of rights passed into law 90 years before the USA even existed. france was writing their declaration of the rights of man & of the citizen at literally the exact same time as the americans were writing the bill of rights amendments. the US bill of rights is in no way exceptional, other than the part about guns.

the electoral college, "drumph", "repugs", and all that supercharged gerrymandering and voter suppression are all also extremely american.

Looks like there’s a few Q believers making their way towards congress. Winning primaries and even against some established republicans.

It’s an even dumber Tea Party. More dangerous too
 
So just a quick comment here.

If people think that Trump will now wear a mask because Pence and Moscow Mitch are saying to do it. They are wrong. He will not.

If people think Trump will resign instead of facing reelection. They are wrong. He will not.

Both instances require accepting reality, admitting mistakes, admitting failure. These are something a narcissistic sociopath is unable to do. And thus far Trump has never done.

He just tweeted out yesterday - LONE WARRIOR!!!

This means that he is feeling attacks, and defections now coming on all sides, even from people that have always licked his boots. His personality disorder will only make him dig in more, and take down the whole ship and as many people as he can along with him.

Seems fairly inline from previous polls except MI which seems a little off

The biggest thing that jumps out

N.C. Senate race
Cunningham +10

Seems like an outlier, as so far he's been up around 3 points or so. Interesting to see further polling supports this or confirms that it is an outlier.

Well, I'll tell ya. It always seems that everyone but the white house/Trump/Rep sycophants know that stories like the bounty story will unravel and end up contradicting everything they lied about.

Now we see Trump and the Press Sec. contradict themselves on the same day on this.

We literally are going to ignore the pandemic and focus on identity politics / race war.

He won’t protect the troops, and now holding up a defense bill to protect the confederacy.

I strongly suspect that Trump will try to leverage a "peaceful transition" (should he lose) to ensure he is not prosecuted for anything.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

You're looking at it way way wrong.

This is a man who's declared bankruptcy multiple times, and when asked about it he said that it made him smart

His ego and narcissism would not prevent his resignation. If he saw it as the only way of self preservation, he would absolutely do it, throw everyone else under the bus, and claim it totally absolves him.

This isn't saying that he WILL resign; only that he will do whatever it takes to save the only thing that matters - himself.

This will lead to the fudging of unemployment figures (in both directions depending on the state).
 
I don’t promote the idea of launching a red scare and conflating Vladimir Putin and Soviet Russia/the Cold War as some giant US enemy.

It’s reductive.

Donald Trump is easily manipulated and foes take advantage of it, while he alienates our friends. That’s enough.

The problem with this is that, regardless of whether or not Donald Trump is an asset or a Patsy? Russia manipulated our elections and continues to do so. They are our biggest adversary in the world right now and we have yet to treat them as such.

They’re the biggest adversary to the american people, but they are non competitive and stuck in the Stone Age. China is our biggest adversary, and only Donald Trump could manage to have sullied what used to be two fierce competitors, and used the same obnoxious red-scare logic with China that we used with Russia in the Cold War.

We need to call Donald Trump out for being manipulated by them, but we don’t need to fear them. We need to fear Donald Trump.
