What a truly awful thing to say.

i suppose you're right. it's a little far. they enjoy violence, certainly, as they cheer when Trump encourages violence against protestors or applauds police violence or venerates home grown war criminals and strives to make the US more and more like the murderous tyrants and dictators (Kim Jong Un, Putin, Erdogan) he looks up to, but they probably don't want bodies to pile up in their name.

i should just let these people speak for themselves:

“I don’t have a problem with Muslims,” said Angus Smith, an Arizona resident who attended the festival, “but can they take the rag off their head out of respect for our country?”

At Mr. Trump’s official rallies, including a recent one in Florida, the president has referred to Mr. Obama by stressing his middle name, Hussein, and said Democrats were “trying to stop me because I’m fighting for you.”

The Trumpstock speakers pushed even further, tying Mr. Obama’s middle name to a false belief that he is a foreign-born Muslim.

And Democrats were portrayed as not just political opponents, but avatars of doom for Mr. Trump’s predominantly white voter base and for the country.

“There is no difference between the democratic socialists and the National Socialists,” said Evan Sayet, a conservative writer who spoke at the event, referencing Nazi Germany. Democrats, he said, “are the heirs to Adolf Hitler.”

[...]

To applause, the co-founder of Latinos for Trump, Marco Gutierrez, read the pledge he took when he became a naturalized citizen and renounced his Mexican homeland. Nitemare, a pro-Trump rapper who refused to give his legal name, invoked QAnon and called Mr. Obama a racist slur in his set.

“I think she should be hanging at the end of a rope for treason,” he said of Mrs. Clinton.

Members of groups like these at once make up a critical portion of Arizona’s conservative base, and espouse derogatory rhetoric that must repeatedly be repudiated, creating political difficulties for the state’s Republican lawmakers. After a photograph emerged last April of members of Patriot Movement AZ posing with Gov. Doug Ducey, he said he had never heard of the group. “I absolutely denounce their behavior,” he added.

Trumpstock attendees say they are used to being denounced, another quality they feel they share with the president. It’s part of why they are protective of him, to the point that they refuse to acknowledge the possibility of a Trump loss in 2020.

Mark Villalta said he had been stockpiling firearms, in case Mr. Trump’s re-election is not successful.

“Nothing less than a civil war would happen,” Mr. Villalta said, his right hand reaching for a holstered handgun. “I don’t believe in violence, but I’ll do what I got to do.”

Let's not forget the Trump supporter who sent pipe bomb packages to numerous Democratic politicians, as well as news outlets that were critical of Trump, a little over a year ago.

Or the El Paso shooter, whose manifesto echoed the anti-immigrant rhetoric Trump used at his rallies.

Or the Tree of Life synagogue shooter who was angry with Trump because he felt he wasn't doing enough to deal with "the Jews", and who also sympathized with Trump's anti-immigrant rhetoric.

Or the Charlottesville neo-Nazi/white supremacists, one of whom mowed down and killed a woman with their car.

To name just a few more examples.

yeah that's a really good point. i should clarify that post was only stating that the *official* iranian response is going to certainly be against military targets - if the iranian military starts firing missiles they're going to be aimed at military bases and US navy ships in the gulf.

of course the proxy groups likely wouldn't feel too constrained in that kind of way so it's possible that one of them would hit a civilian target although if that were to happen i feel like it would be the group acting on their own, rather than direct orders coming from iran to attack civilians. it would be just too big a risk for iran's government to be caught issuing orders like that right now and they clearly don't want to be seen as the aggressor in this.

The Quds force that Qasem Soleimani was a leader of, is rumored to have sleeper cells in the United States, Europe and Latin America. They attempted to bomb the Café Milano in Washington D.C. in 2011 to kill the Saudi Ambassador to the United States, but the attack was foiled. If they had succeeded in pulling off that attack, over a hundred people could have been killed, including possibly U.S. Senators and Representatives who often go to Café Milano.

So I would not put anything past them. There are few if any states out there more experienced than Iran at using Terrorism worldwide. It goes beyond just their Ballistic Missiles, Mines, Drones, and proxies in other middle east countries. The Quds force, sort of like the KGB once did, has capabilities and people positioned around the world that can be used for a variety of missions.

the link between that attack and the quds force/iranian government is tenuous at best and it's definitely not right to state it as if that's an established fact.

the rest of that post reads like it could literally be a script for a segment on fox news. this is the exact same bullshit they fed us about saddam in 2002 and you're eating it up.

I feel like Iran is smart but equally drawn into petty symbolic moves, and I would not be surprised to see if they’re trying to find a way to attack US troops directly. They’re trying to be calculated - it would backfire if they failed.

Iran has fired rockets at a US air base in Iraq.

Fuck indeed.Things were bad enough with that fool as President. Every day I wondered how much worse it could get, turn the page to 2020 and he's started a war.

Yeah, i saw that stuff on line yesterday, too. :|

And true this , unless A Miracle of a Quartet Republican Senators grow real spines.....
I guess it sort of takes away him hearing the word 'impeachment' as often. Only reason i can think of. That * is always gonna be there!

Please just remind your fellow Canadians that drumpf LOST the Popular Vote. I think by around 3 million.

Amen! But it's probably impossible to do that.

i was hearing over the pad , uh, previous two weeks all the person-on-the-street Iranians protesting their own government. Yup. Public and BBC Radio have noted how almost all Iranians have now banded together.

And sang "Amazing Grace".

Excuse me while I kiss scream at the sky.
:scream: :scream:

Yep most Canadians I think know trump lost by 3M votes for the popular vote and most are disgusted by that and by trump in general. Sadly we still have our share of hardcore trump supporters here.

Time to trade in those MAGA hats for combat boots. Onward!

We need to get this trending and make this a big rallying cry for the country at large. Demand that all Trump supporters out there be the ones signing up to fight, and the rest of us will stay out of it. Let them be the ones who have to suffer the consequences of the stupidity they voted for for once.

It'd be awesome if soldiers en masse said "Nope, we're not on board with this and we're not going over there." Would be hard to get a war going without anyone willing to actually go, after all. But I don't know how likely that is or if they can do that.

I co-sign the "Fuck you, Trump supporters" sentiment. You guys have officially lost any right or room to mention Obama, Hillary, or any future Democrat's policies and actions ever. The only thing I'd ever want to hear any Trump supporter say going forward is, "I'm sorry for being a complete and utter moron and voting for a shithead president, that was incredibly wrong of me." But of course, I'm not holding my breath on that ever happening, so since it won't, then I'd just prefer you guys not ever talk again at all.

I posted some basic facts about Iran and the Quds force that are generally known all over the world. What makes you think Iran and the Quds force are somehow weaker or less capable?

If your milk was sour in the morning, you'd find a way to blame Trump.
Sure, that's what it is. It's not that he's dangerously inept, or that he has had lifelong connections to the mafia, or that he's an absolutely horrible businessman who was propped up on his daddy's money and shady naming rights schemes. It's not that we're so fucking stupid as a nation that millions of people thought he was a good businessman because a good damned scripted television show told you he was.

It's because I'm just bitter.

Dyou know what would really set this off? Kim to do a "special" Trump ICBM launch! [emoji50]

I also think that you are just bent out of shape because he's sexually assaulted dozens of women, raped 3, one a 13 year old, and he licks Putin's taint. These things are all the hallmarks of a great leader, and Headache is just so twisted and bitter that he blames EVERYTHING on our brave, thoughtful leader.
