Bernberg 2020

Ol man Bloomie doesn’t have a sphere to occupy. Warren/Sanders can’t have him without ruining their image. He can’t really fall behind Biden without coming off as part of the system, and Biden won’t do another old white man for his VP.

The Blooms should probably consider taking his billion dollars and pumping it into Arizona and Maine and all of the shitty fake “centrist” republican senator states who put on these facades of being torn on issues.

he is.

candidate or not, he'll be pouring a shit ton of cash into this election up and down the ballot.

much like he did in 2018, to great impact.

i hope i'm getting this right - a lot of fast talking back and forth on MSNBC on Senate break

???! New Parness stuff Letter from his lawyer> Trump saying

"How long could Ukraine last w/o aid" a year? or so before what we know before?

I used to think this, but beginning to see that this may not be true.

Allow me to explain (as if you have a choice)

Sure, he's going to play the ultimate victim card with this. But guess what? He would be doing it anyway with a whole list of other things. The main question is. What changes?

First, nothing will change from the Trump cult. Nothing. He could slap one of their kids across the face and spit on them, and they would apologize to Lord Don profusely, and bow to him. That's baked in the cake. A cult member is not mentally right, and no matter what happens, they are there to stay.

BUT
What will change is the people that voted for Trump, maybe reluctantly, maybe out of frustration of some sort, maybe out of naively believing lies about Hillary, etc...
But now, we have seen first hand the steady bleed of moderate suburban voters from that voting block.
What is happening now with Repubs in the senate blocking all witnesses and documents, will not hit those people well. They are part of the 75% of the public that want witnesses, because they want to see all the facts, and they know deep down Trump is guilty.

So the net gain/loss here is going to, IMO, go against Trump. He will keep that bleeding wound of college educated suburban voters open and oozing with all of his nonsense. While his cult base will stay static at about 36%. Sure he may keep another decent percentage of those voters that are on the fence about this whole thing. But that isn't nearly enough.

I think we have to remember at the razor-thin margins that got him into the office in the first place. And no matter what Dem goes up against him this time , they will NOT suffer from the same horrible baggage as Hillary had to drag around.

Sorry, had to edit that last sentence.

God, I sincerely hope you're right about all of this.

I'm not surprised that the GOP won't support bringing forth more witnesses. It doesn't make it any less maddening, though.

But hey, anyone out there who has any more to share about Trump and the Ukraine aid and things of that sort, please feel free to keep on spilling it, not just for however much longer this trial lasts, but throughout the entire year. Let's saturate the media with all this information as much as possible all the way up to Election Day. If the GOP doesn't give enough of a shit to actually do anything, then hopefully come November, the voters will.

And then if, by some miracle, the GOP does suffer a massive loss, something needs to happen so that none of those people can ever be allowed to run for any kind of office ever again. Clearly they can't be trusted with this job.

Never thought Mitt Romney would be a symbol of political "courage". At least relative to his fellow spineless Republican drivel.

State of the union is going to be a revolting crap show.

How awesome would it be if Pelosi gave Trump bunny ears during the State Of The Union? Or curb stomped his head into the podium?

Trump voters want a benevolent (to them) dictator. That's pretty much it.

And as for the other forum drama - totally unsurprising to me. We live in an era where the absolute worst in people has bubbled to the surface and the absolutely worst people themselves feel emboldened to showcase it for the world to see.

what amazes me is that, if you take a quick look around that forum, STING/wons is actually one of the good guys. he kicks the shit out of Mrs. Garrison and Twumpers, at least when it comes to impeachment.

but it's not like Mrs. Garrison could ever string together a few coherent sentences anyway.

it also doesn't surprise me that a person who thinks women should smile more would come down hard on a woman who, like anitram, is smarter and more successful than her in every way possible.

but i digress ...

I know I’m not the sharpest tool in the box

But I’m sticking to 40+ states to Trump if Bernie wins.

Socialism.
AOC + The Squad

Or

He wins 40+ states [emoji6]

You didn’t indicate where in the bucket of safe dem states some 5-6 would fall. Clinton won like 20-22, and only 3-4 of them were tossups.

Ohhh, dear.

I think i'll have to reread Hillary's statement. As far as I thought from first read Hillary was talking about some Bernie supporters not all of them. That would imo make sense.

I like  The Squad, but booing Hillary was off putting. Sharp criticism of her is fine. I didn't agree w everything HRC did, but I still like her a lot. She did some serious good!

As a few ppl pointed out Hillary IS one of the set of shoulders (along w Barbara Jordan, Shirely Chisholm ec) that Rashid is standing on.

the dems could nominate a shit-flinging baboon and states like massachusetts and california and new york and washington and oregon are still not going to all flip en mass to vote for donald trump.

so people who boo donald trump are cool and awesome, whereas people who boo hillary clinton are just like brainwashed trump cultists. okay then.

Plus it’s not like Hillary Clinton didn’t quite literally wage a media war with everyone who opposed her in 2016. Be real with that. She’s lost it.

Are you guys responding directly to me or to the twitter followers or both?

DAVE - the difference to me is we are supposed to be (more, than less) on the same side!
Which is what (imho) sharp criticism is for.

You can "boo" someone as awfully adversarial as Trump is.

L7 - I didn't pay much attention to her campaigning against her rivals. IF she has not targeted all Bernie supporters in this documentary, then that her comments are acceptable to me b/c some bernie supporters did go over the top.

Sure.

Those states don't win the election. The purple ones do. Where there are a lot of old white people.

right, but i was only addressing the silly notion that trump can somehow win 40+ states.

hillary herself has made it patently clear that she doesn't think we're on the same side.
