Here comes the waffling... trying not go all in on saying the 400 million was part of demand...

I'm thinking its not going to go well for him with the prosecutor questioning
 
also, since everyone conspiracy-mongers now ... perhaps this weekend visit to the doctor was part of a longer game -- one where President Big Mac Attack pleads health issues and resigns/steps down, and hopes that he's pardoned or everyone just drops it. Stepping down may be a way to save face, and he becomes kingmaker for whomever would take his place.

this really does seem off-brand for someone who bragged about the size of his penis during a GOP debate, which is apparently important for conservatives (even independent ones), however, he's also a sniveling, amoral coward who's frightened of everything. and it sure seems better than jail.

Look... I have zero idea what happened with this seemingly random trip to Walter Reed on Saturday, and I don't want to get into conspiracy theories and all that.

But I do know this... I was at Walter Reed Saturday. I arrived about 2 hours before him and left about 30 minutes before he arrived. I was running a work event in their gym. I drove into the facility in a van filled with basketball equipment, escorted by a USO employee. The van wasn't searched. There wasn't any extra security. There was one dude with his big gun and terrible Movember stache' screening cars.

There was no extra police presence on the streets when I left. Everything was perfectly normal.

I've been around this city long enough now to know that this is not the SOP for a planned POTUS visit.

Whatever it was, it was certainly not something that was on the schedule. No chance. Maybe he choked on a pretzel. Fuck if I know. Maybe Eric glued his mouth shut.

Welp. It's over. it's a wrap. The president denies that the aid was held up for investigations. Damn it.
It was a good try. But if you know criminals always tell people the truth about the crimes they are committing, and I think we all know that is how it works. Then we know there is nothing to this.

So for 2020, will it be a John Kasich / Nikki Haley ticket ?

He's reportedly told at least three GOP that he's planning on resigning over his association with Trump. It's weird how it gets released today and he's immediately thrown under the bus too

He's a pompous, evasive asshole. His association with Trump doesn't affect my opinion of him in the least.

My favorite was his closing statement. He said - my friends across the isle want to say that you were working an irregular channel in Ukraine and we know that that isn't true, that you were actually working the official channel.

Yeah Einstein - you just made a clear argument that the "official channel" that included the president, and the state dept, were the ones working on the nefarious dealings, and the other honest people were left out.

Unfortunately, what they do have also, are stupid, supporters (sorry)

But the fact that when you look at the top lines of impeachment polls, and there is a question that asks - Did Trump ask the Ukranian President to investigate Burisma and the Bidens?
And 35% of people say NO. That is what we are dealing with here. There are the plainly stupid, and there are also the stubbornly ignorant because they want someone this racist and cruel and horrible to be in power.
 
Seems like all the lawyers landed on the - I had NO idea Burisma meant the Bidens. I mean, how would I know that?

Vulker testimony was a mess yesterday. He was clearly not telling the truth about a lot of things. Morrison definitely had some dishonest moments, but not quite as bumbling as Volker. But again wanted us to believe he ran to the lawyers, to lock away a call that had no problems that he could see. :|

Seriously, the fact they managed to get to any level of power at all despite being this stupid is...fascinating and horrifying all at the same time.
