Ohhhh, man.
This is soooo possible!

Except there are still quite more of us than them.

Quickly- there are many Black and Latina Women who support choice for themselves and all women .

And should you say that they've been bamboozled by White Women - then you are basically saying that they aren't smart enough to think for themselves.
Let me just add to this...

one reason i know the above is; i've been to three Choice Marches and have seen Black and Latino women marching with us white women.

Fourth the fact that abortions out strip births among Black and Latino women doesn't concern you at all? You don't think there are some qEugenics at play here? It doesn't concern you that abortion is promoted and encouraged in minority communities?

Huh pretty scary that someone could be that apathetic

So lets think logically, if most Republicans were racists they would want more minorities to get abortions, that would in theory lessen the numbqers of Blacks and Latinos. Why would they want to ban abortion when it effects so disproportionately minority women. Then why wouldn't democrats oppose it, it seems they would got more voters-- doesn't make sense to me -

As Carlin said:

I've noticed that most of these feminists are white, middle-class women. They don't give a shit about black women's problems. They dqon't care about Latino women. All they're interested in is their own reproductive freedom, and their pocketbooks.

George Carlin
Now to at least a partially longer reply.

First if all, you hardly know a damn thing about me. I'm not some "clueless" middle classs white woman. 1) I haven 't been MC in over 24 years; i'm on the upper end of Poor (not destitute) 2) I've been following issues of racism, and poverty for decades, including the time i was MC. I've done what i can to be an ally, and be even mire awake. 3) I do know a certain amount about the history of Eugenics in the USA, and how Hilter and his inner circle expounded on it. It disturbs me that Margret Sanger's contraception invention was partly rooted in her own severe racism. 4) as i said before i know/of POC for choice- so don't play the "I don't care/apahetic 'card' " on me.

As for Choice:

As one man asked - you are in a fertility clinic and a fire breaks out. You have a choice of saving a 5 year old you see , OR a whole lot off eggs/potential fetuses. What is your choice? You can't save both.

And whomever said (i heard this about a year ago - i wish i could remember who said it) indelicately-
when a man has to walk around with a watermelon shoved up his ass for X months, then maaaybe we can begin to talk about the Choice issue.

At conception it's extremely early-life, it's not equal to a born baby. Yes, there is the matter of the Soul. It's still a women's choice. I will tell you a fascinating story.

So this woman decides to have an abortion. She does. Some years later she's ready to have a chid. She has a lovely little girl. Around the age of ?2 - 3 years old she says to her mom something like "I know you weren't ready to have me back then". Sounds like her soul reincarnated into the next fertilized egg, or when ever Catholics think it happens.

I happen to be a serious ex-New Roman Catholic/Ukrainian Catholic (raised in both). Barely was an ex-Christian (never found a church), also my whole way of thinking about God then God/Goddess/The Power(s)/The All started to shift within that same relatively short space of time.

I am not a Secularist. There is something..... I love seriously Ecumenical Religious people. My favorite several churches are very Ecumenical. ❤ love Wiccans, and much of the Animist Religions. I abhor Religious Fundalmentalists in all the religions! You don't tell me/the rest of how (or if) to worship, or how to live my life.
I am very comfortable with easy going Secularists (not snooty ones- like Richard Dwarkins- blarg). Secularists usually have as high ethical principals as Religious, or Spiritual people.
I am also very much believe in the Separation of Church and State. I call myself a very Spiritual person.

A question for you-
Why are you so uncomfortable with the changes made to the Catholic Church? I was a teen when ?Vatican ll happened. I liked it!

That's it for now.

i really want to know who is blackmailing Lindsay Graham and what it is.

it can't be gay stuff -- we all already know. it must be something else? you'd think it's because he loves war because of defense contractors, but Trump actually doesn't like war.

what can it be?

All your chanting, marching, voting, picketing, boycotting and letter-writing will not change a thing; you will never right the wrongs of this world. The only thing your activity will accomplish is to make some of you feel better. Such activity makes powerless people feel useful, and provides them the illusion that they're making a difference. But it doesn't work. Nothing changes. The powerful keep the power. That's why they're called the powerful.

This is similar to people's belief that love can overcome everything, that it has some special power. It doesn't. Except one on one. One on one, love is incredibly powerful. It is a beautiful thing. But if love had any power to change the world, it would have prevailed by now. Love can't change the world. It's nice. It's pleasant. It's better than hate.
But it has no special power over things. It just feels good. Love yourself, find another person to love and feel good.
Love, George

George Carlin
Carlin is kind of right but mostly wrong. Organization does work, and is really the only means to any ends for the masses. Boycotting, striking, protesting. The problem is simply that so many have been beaten down and can't see it. Which was the point of all that was done in the first place. The most prominent leaders of action and revolution are usually killed before their movements can gain the traction that would actually enact change.

Capitalism is unsustainable, so the question is simply what fills the vacuum when it collapses. Those on the right will break for fascism; those on the left will break for socialism.

The undeclareds are what's left. They're the people who still think Carlin was right when he said mass movements don't change things. That is not an everlasting truth; rather, it's simply a description of what transpired in America in the 60s and 70s.

Uh.... JD.
Ok, I am tired. Maybe I'm misreading this.
Are you saying that you agree with Carlin that mass movements in the 60's and 70's didn't change things?

Stonewall 50!!!!!

(born & bred nyc'r) So I was a a senior in HS when it happened. It w as a specialized school for Music and Art. It was The 60's and no strict clothing standards (altho dressing more fabulous was not yet a thing, maybe not allowed(don't really remember as many of us were dealing the Vietnam War, Black Power, etc).

I was like "huh, okkkk". didn't know much about the particulars till i read about it in the daily papers (the NY Post was still liberal, while the Daily News was more conservative). I definitely got more education reading The Village Voice's articles maybe listened to WBAI radio. I

But what was cool was only 2 years later my college (situated at the divide of The Villiage, and The East Villiage) held it's first Gay Dance!
So yay to everyone who has fought for ever-widening circles of inclusiveness!

That amused me, too. I did like Beto speaking Spanish, though.

I think it’s cool but it was a gimmick if you ask me. Should’ve saved that one for a one on one with the Donald.

Now Delaney is doing his failing fumble. “I’m different from everyone on this stage. I was an entrepreneur.” Try again.
