Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that.

Did you know him IRL, BVS? Just curious as to how you heard about his passing.

That is really too bad. He was a teacher right? His postings gave me the impression he was older, maybe close to retirement at his school....but that's complete guesswork.

Has made me think that a lot of us have been here on this site for over 20 years, so as we get older stuff like this probably becomes a little more common.

As Irvine mentioned, I hope his family and friends are doing ok

I'm sorry to read that he passed away, that's sad. I wonder if he was ill, reading through some of his last posts in his thread...some of it indicates thoughts about that sort of thing.

Things in my life unfortunately make me have death and dying and end of life constantly on my mind. You just never know. Appreciate life and people while you can.

oh my goodness. i'm quite surprised as i think i remember he wasn't that much older than me, although i obviously have no idea about his health status. we often disagreed on many things but there was no doubt that his heart was always in the right place. i hope it was peaceful for him and even though they will probably never see it my deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.

I looked at that also, and was thinking the same.

Just fb friends. He had just retired recently. One of his sons posted a couple of days ago asking for prayers and then this morning I saw that a family member had posted a picture and said he past yesterday. So it did seem somewhat sudden, for he hadn’t mentioned anything about being ill or anything, to my knowledge. A lot of his past students have been writing tributes to him today.

RIP Iron Horse. No matter how far his opinions were from my own, I always believed he meant well, and I've got to take my hat off to a fellow teacher. He loved what he did.

Adding to the condolences on the loss of iron horse. So sad to hear that news.

Oh, that's terrible!
Strength to his family, friends, and the students who will miss him!

And hats off, in general, to good teachers!

So the Trump family has to be sweating a little bit with Cohen's offices being raided.

Pretty sure that since Cohen took the fall for paying her off, he put his client's attorney privilege at risk. Not in the literal sense, but informally speaking, he sort of made his own trap.

Cohen's not a wartime consigliere, and things could get tough with the moves Trump will be making.

You're out Michael.

April 2016

"We're gonna beat ISIS very, very quickly, folks. It's gonna be fast. I have a great plan. It's going to be great. They ask, 'What is it?' Well, I'd rather not say. I'd rather be unpredictable."

April 2018

"Russia vows to shoot down any and all missiles fired at Syria. Get ready Russia, because they will be coming, nice and new and “smart!”"
