Update on the Eminent Domain

Well there were almost 40 of us talking with the lawyer. 1 guy in the group is really not to concerned. There is a warehouse that he owns at the end of the block and would make a profit from this.
There is a town hall meeting on Tuesday that will make or break the neighborhood. The City of Burlingame which is 2 blocks from where we live is sending the mayor and other members of the city to back us up.
I asked the lawyer if it went through how much would they have to pay us for the property and he said they would have to buy it at the current value of each house, which mean it would be over a million dollars for each house.

I hope the proceedings go smoothly. The condemning authority will place money on deposit for all the properties taken, and then it will take some time to get the money released to the homeowners.
