of course he is, he's literally the only name in the running that 98% of canadians would even recognize. but like i said it's the conservative party membership that elects a leader by an in-person vote at the convention, not by the general public, so you might as well be asking the citizens of kenya who they'd vote for. nobody outside political wonks and party members know who chris alexander is, but from what i'm hearing from a friend of mine who has been a party member for over a decade, he's the #1 choice of the party by a long shot.

In 1984 and Animal Farm, Orwell was warning about the evils of leftist socialism and leftist communism and their love of government domination over the people. People like Trump who want to strip the government of its power and return the power to the people were the heroes to Orwell...as were most heroes of science fiction like Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. The hero is the individual that resists socialist totalitarian government and works to destroy the unnatural grip of socialism on individualism and creativity and free expression.

While Orwell based the society in his novels 1984 and Animal Farm on Stalinist Soviet Union, I think you have to leave out "leftist socialism" and "leftist communism" in your interpretation of them. The novels describe totalitarian regimes and their control over the masses.
I don't see Trump stripping the government of its power and returning it to the people. I see Trump trying to control the truth and to increase the grip of government on the life of the people. An example of this last one is his executive order slashing aid for organizations that even mention the word abortion in one of their programs (even when those do not have funding by the US).

I understand your point and I know he has no chance in hell in winning. I was just stating the fact that I can't believe there are so many supporters out there of him especially knowing what has happened in the states. Don't worry I am very chilled lol

the date part is funny, and probably something somebody would have checked if they actually vetted releases and make sure they went out rather than just throwing them up on twitter like a dope, but having a panoramic picture of your swearing in isn't really something to criticize Trump over. i'm sure many presidents have had similar photos in and around their office.
