Ugh. Infowars.
9/11 was an inside job!
Sandy Hook was a government conspiracy to take away our guns!
Obama and Hillary are literally demons!
If you're reposting infowars material, you're doing it wrong.
Friday Night Barstool Thought: can we get that damn album already so we have some fun together !!!
It took me a month to process the Romney loss. I understand the pain.
I texted "Love you" to my sister for the first time in awhile when she was coping with the loss of her side. She's nervous. Our families will come back together.
Our U2 family will have something to celebrate soon

There's zero comparison between Romney and Trump. Zero.
And if you think we're angry amply because "our side didn't win," then you're really missing the point as well. That wasn't the point.

And if you think we're angry simply because "our side didn't win," then you're really missing the point as well.
One of the big problems that I see with modern politics is that people treat political parties like sports teams.
Good post. After the Romney loss i went into work the next day and there were a lot of angry people but we got over it. The sun still rose that day and we still had our jobs, our homes, our cars, our families, and our lives. The following weekend i took my Dad to see the movie 'Skyfall', which was excellent and we had a great time. Also kind of fitting, as in, the sky really wasn't falling afterall.
I have tried to convey this sentiment to some people here and i do hope they understand that just because we voted on different sides of the coin that does not make us enemies.
It's up to you to reach out and make amends, not the Muslim or Mexican kids who are terrified Donald Trump is going to deport them all.
It seems something of a fallacy to assume that because someone voted for Trump, they support 100% of his statements and policies..

This. And if you think we're angry amply because "our side didn't win," then you're really missing the point as well.
my cousin told me to grow up and get over it because "your team lost". I said, "I didn't know this was a sporting event" and she replied by telling me I was a smart ass and she hoped I could sleep at night knowing I'd degraded over half my family. One of the big problems that I see with modern politics is that people treat political parties like sports teams. I suppose this is a result of the silos or echo chambers that many people live in. It's okay to say "I've been a lifelong Republican but I don't like where the party is going. This is not cool." Instead, many people - but not all - will blindly vote for a party because it's "their side". And that's why you'll see politicians of all stripes doing and saying horrible things, because they know that they'll get that support from their base no matter what.
As someone who is not an ideologue, I find that extremely discouraging. I'm hopeful that this is a wakeup call for people to be more demanding of our leaders, no matter the letter that is beside their name. But I'm not naive either.
Avoid Wilshire if you're in Los Angeles right now and don't feel like being one of the 10,000 people currently marching against Trump.

Holy crap. I did *not* know that story. Wow. Ever thought of writing a book?

I actually thought about it when I was much younger. But I enjoy a relatively boring life with a kid now and I don't really want to re-live most of those old days, even if just on paper.
And if you think we're angry amply because "our side didn't win," then you're really missing the point as well.
It kind of does, though, right?
You voted for a man who pointed at Mexicans, Muslims, our black president, and immigrants (and women) and said that these people were your enemies and they need to be removed in order to make America great again. He also put thenastiest anti-gay governor on his ticket, and he's been endorsed by the KKK and has appointed representatives from hate groups to lead his transition team, and he is advised by white supremacists.
You fell for it. Or maybe you agree?
Either way, it seems to me that the onus is on the people who ran on the notion that there are enemies among us to tell the people they said were the enemy that they aren't the enemy.
That we're sorry and we're going to make it up to you.
It's up to you to reach out and make amends, not the Muslim or Mexican kids who are terrified Donald Trump is going to deport them all.
I do think some people are angry because their side didn't win. In fact some people in here spiked the football prematurely leading up to election day, and rubbed their certain "victory" in our faces and danced all around us, mocked us, even. And then when that victory didn't happen....oops! Now let's jump on the bandwagon of "you must be a racist because you voted for one" and "you are really missing the point" or "you were conned".
Since the election i have been called several things in here; poor, uneducated, low information voter, racist, idiot, dick, c__t, and so many other not very nice things.
I think you personally have some anger issues that might need to be addressed. Rather than continue the tirade towards a token TRUMP supporter online, why not get out of here and spend time with your family or pick up a healthy hobby?
When i mentioned before that i took my Dad to see 'Skyfall' and we had a good time, what i didn't mention was that i never got to take my Dad to see another movie after that. Consider that for a second, life is short and precious, and you never know what tomorrow is going to bring. Or, as you guys like to say, LOVE TRUMPS HATE.
I voted for a man who wants to fix ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION, and is fed up with violence caused by some illegal immigrants. If they are LEGAL citizens then what is the problem?
Muslims, as Bill Maher likes to say, own terrorism or terrorist attacks. It's true. NOT ALL MUSLIMS, but a few radicals. TRUMP does not want radical terrorists blowing up shit in this country and i agree with him.
I didn't fall for anything, again perhaps you should have voted for Bernie Sanders in the primaries which is what i did.
I do agree the new administration needs to reach out to everyone, as i and others have been saying, afterall, they are going to be president of everyone and not just the people who voted for them.
However nobody owes you an apology. This is a democracy not a funeral. You don't get a trophy for coming in second or last place, and nor should you.
best post i've ever read on FYM.
"you were conned".
If you voted for Trump on the strength of his policies and ideology, you were conned. In fact, many Trump voters knew they were being conned and accepted it because of the alternative.

There were many Trump voters exactly like this person.
