[QUOTE=bono_212;8118184]Holy crap. I did *not* know that story. Wow. Ever thought of writing a book?

I actually thought about it when I was much younger. But I enjoy a relatively boring life with a kid now and I don't really want to re-live most of those old days, even if just on paper.

I do think some people are angry because their side didn't win. In fact some people in here spiked the football prematurely leading up to election day, and rubbed their certain "victory" in our faces and danced all around us, mocked us, even. And then when that victory didn't happen....oops! Now let's jump on the bandwagon of "you must be a racist because you voted for one" and "you are really missing the point" or "you were conned".

Since the election i have been called several things in here; poor, uneducated, low information voter, racist, idiot, dick, c__t, and so many other not very nice things.

I think you personally have some anger issues that might need to be addressed. Rather than continue the tirade towards a token TRUMP supporter online, why not get out of here and spend time with your family or pick up a healthy hobby?

When i mentioned before that i took my Dad to see 'Skyfall' and we had a good time, what i didn't mention was that i never got to take my Dad to see another movie after that. Consider that for a second, life is short and precious, and you never know what tomorrow is going to bring. Or, as you guys like to say, LOVE TRUMPS HATE.

He also put thenastiest anti-gay governor on his ticket, and he's been endorsed by the KKK and has appointed representatives from hate groups to lead his transition team, and he is advised by white supremacists.
I voted for a man who wants to fix ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION, and is fed up with violence caused by some illegal immigrants. If they are LEGAL citizens then what is the problem?

Muslims, as Bill Maher likes to say, own terrorism or terrorist attacks. It's true. NOT ALL MUSLIMS, but a few radicals. TRUMP does not want radical terrorists blowing up shit in this country and i agree with him.

I didn't fall for anything, again perhaps you should have voted for Bernie Sanders in the primaries which is what i did.

It's up to you to reach out and make amends, not the Muslim or Mexican kids who are terrified Donald Trump is going to deport them all.
I do agree the new administration needs to reach out to everyone, as i and others have been saying, afterall, they are going to be president of everyone and not just the people who voted for them.

However nobody owes you an apology. This is a democracy not a funeral. You don't get a trophy for coming in second or last place, and nor should you.

The alternative is probably the reason i voted for TRUMP. Here is an interesting video from Chirs Matthews of all people, it's pretty stunning:

Judging his policies to be that of a con man before he's even taken office?
This is coming from a group of people who were wrong every step of the way for the last 18 months.
The radical left has become so far out of touch that they don't have a clue why Trump was elected. They believe every lie the media feeds them.

Western civilization is going through what I call an "anti-Marxian" revolution. Marx claimed that socialism, communism, etc would take over western culture once people became so sick of capitalism they would beg for it. The reverse has happened. People are so sick and tired of this globalist, big government mess that they're now taking back they're government and are purging liberalism. Liberals are the minority in this country and it is showing it's head. It has no leadership, it has no direction and it has no future.

Trump General Discussion

Trump, he of Democrat and Independent registration for much of this century, started backpedaling the day he got elected. It's just the beginning. If it weren't for the makeup of Congress, conservatives wouldn't have a prayer.

"Liberals are in the minority," based on the Trump revolution that brought in fewer votes than Mitt fucking Romney? Give me a break. "Liberal" is relative, but if we're working off a binary, get back to me when abortion and SSM stop being no-brainers for the majority. Out of two enormously unpopular candidates, someone had to win. Trump riled up just enough voters to get into office and beat a despised candidate, but not enough to surpass the totals of an establishment fraud that got washed by Obama, nor Clinton herself.

Wow, sports metaphors. Because that's what this is if your life isn't actually on the line. He said Mexicans coming to this country were murderers and rapists. And that a judge wasn't capable of hearing his case because of his Mexican heritage. And he's surrounded by actual white supremacists.

1. No evidence Sanders would have done better
2. I'm more scared of white American men with guns than I am of Muslims. I am much, much more likely to be killed by one of you than I am by a terrorist (and I live in a city that is a terror target). Trump is who ISIS (and Russia and the KKK) want in office.

Sorry, out of time to go further. I'm not looking for an apology, I'm looking for you to admit that your vote just made a lot of Americans less safe and to be clear about who you just put into power.

The point about being "conned" is that you didn't vote for, nor are you going to get, what it is you said you voted for.

Of all the things I'm uncertain of, one thing I know for sure is you won't yet that.

Oh absolutely. It's like asking gun nuts to admit that their love of guns is more important than the lives of first graders.

THIS is why I am leaving FYM for awhile. I had to delay my vacation to explain and this post enraged me, because absolutely not one damn sentence makes sense. Intelligent conservatives are rolling their eyes and in their graves. THIS and Mrs G who can't see the difference between language and assault is low information. Not one sentence has truth to it.

Trump won, but with no majority and only a 1/4 of eligible voters, that doesn't say a damn thing, it says absolutely nothing about who is the majority in this country. And you can't keep using liberalism and globalism interchangeably, just STOP, it's pure ignorance. Reagan is often considered one of the grandfathers of globalism. Without globalism you wouldn't have that smartphone in your hand. Put it to use and look up something factual.

Let me get this straight.

People who voted for Trump in the rust belt are so sick of "big government". But rather than going out there and taking some personal responsibility (which ya'all conservatives love to point to all the time), they want this same big government that they allegedly hate to come in and force capitalist businesses to re-open factories and force them to employ people rather than rely on automation and force them to become less competitive in the global marketplace.

How is it that you don't see that what they want is actually the definition of anti-capitalist?

That would be incorrect. If anything it's a desire to return to previous decades, but to suggest that is 'anti-capitalist' in anyway is off the mark. And you can take it from me.

Maybe you need to cool on the victim card 24/7. You posted elsewhere that you have a great job and live in a flashy neighborhood, and your household is dual income no kids so you have all of this money and freedom, etc. You seem to brag about these things a lot, which is fine, if that is something you like to do. If you look outside of your comfort zone there are people who want to take all of these things from you, and just maybe we will finally have strong enough leadership to put a stop to that.

When TRUMP said that line about Mexicans, he didn't say it was all of them, though he was correct there are some people coming into this country who are murderers and rapists. Your side just happens to excel at hysteria and painting everyone unlike yourself with a broad brush.

It's kind of a moot point since the DNC was clearly working against him which is very anti-democracy since he was clearly the people's choice and not the establishment's choice. Party over country.

"One of you" what the hell does that even mean? is that a racist comment because you don't like native americans or is it you don't like veterans, or both?

Yeah you won't be getting any such admission from me. As a veteran i have been in the business of keeping this country safe since 1989, and i take my oath and duty to heart. GOD BLESS AMERICA!

The point is i voted for TRUMP and im getting TRUMP, so i am getting what i voted for. You voted for HRC, one of the most corrupt politicians of our lifetime, or perhaps ever. And now you are getting TRUMP as well, perhaps you were conned.

So what's the excuse gonna be if/when Trump doesn't build a wall?

Doesn't stop every Islamic terrorist?

Doesn't repeal Obamacare?

Then what?
