Even I, liberal of liberals fully disagrees with this decision.
Borders should have been sealed on Sept 12 2001. Immigration laws should have been rethunk Sept 13 2001. That Canada / Mexico bridge should be built. ![]() |

That's interesting, Diamond. It doesn't sound like Bush is serious about closing off the borders to possible terrorist. Maybe he's trying to sway Latino votes away from the Democrats....aay?

If he would have kicked 3 million out you would have been aplauding him. you's would have said he's being tough on illegal immigrants. I could care less. Its always, it seems, jump on the president wagon around here.

First you can't call him a N____ even I think he's close. Then you can't call him H_____ (but he's closer to the Chancellor). Maybe I can call him a moron? He's actually less. |

I saw your post above and I wanted to ask you about a couple of the things you hit upon. I studied World History and U.S. History a lot in college, and I have always been interested in the subject in general, incuding the era of the National Socialist movement in Germany and their leader. I am alos an avid follower of U.S. politics (since I live here) and try to keep up with everything on a daily basis. I was curious if you would be willing to elaborate on the ways that you think that U.S. President George W. Bush is close to the National Socialist Part and its Chancellor. I promise I am not trying to be ugly or anything. I don't think you are joking about it (at least I hope you aren's) and knowing the seriousness of the abuses committed by the National Socialist regime in the 1930s and 1940s, if these same actions are being carried out by the current U.S. administration, I would like to know about it for my own well-being. So if you could, what are some examples of these similarities? I do know that there are some racist hate groups in the U.S. (generally anti-government militia-type groups) and in some governments areound the world, but this is the first I have heard about it being an active voice in the U.S. government. My ears are open to what you have to say. Thanks and have a great evening! I look forward to hearing from you. ~U2Alabama |

I dont' like bush that much...but those comparisons are pretty ridiculous. I will say this the only reason he's doing this is because INS is soo overwhelemed by illegal immigrants from mexico that they seem to think it's a good idea to hand visas out to terrorists and even renew them after they are dead. This is more about security than it is about compassion. |

merry xmas?...whatever happened to pluralism Bush is trying to protect america. there is nothing wrong with it...just don't make him into a christ figure because of it. simply put if he could expel all the illegals from mexico..he would why??? because it's the law! and as president it's his job to uphold it. But in this day and age priorities have changed and bush is actually for once smart enough to realize that people working hard to get by in this country who aren't legal arent' a threat. People who want to kill innocent ppl are. |

the bottom line is, the government no longer speaks for us, the people.
ive been seeing polls lately, from various sources that i cannot name at the moment, that suggest the american public only supports war against iraq IF they go in alone by about 25%. |

Actually its about 35%. Thing is, the USA will not be alone no matter what happens. The United Kingdom will always be with us along with Kuwait, Romania and Bulgaria.
