"Owe nothing to anyone, except to love one another; for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. The commandments, 'You shall not commit adultery; you shall not kill; you shall not steal; you shall not covet,' and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this saying, (namely) 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' Love does no evil to the neighbor; hence, love is the fulfillment of the law." - Romans 13:8-10

Complication is my claim to fame
I can't believe there' s another, constantly just another
and I can't avoid what I can't control
I'm losing ground, still I can't stand down
I Know, yeah I know… Yeah

I know you stay true when my world is false
everything around's breaking down to chaos
I always see you when my sight is lost
everything around's breaking down to chaos

I know you stay true when my world is false
everything around's breaking down to chaos
I always see you when my sight is lost
everything around's breaking down to chaos

It's hard to trust anyone again
after all the let downs I've been through,
haunted by what I've been through.

Air's still trapped, while I still can't breathe
and I'm screaming out, give me help somehow
I know, yeah I know… Yeah

I know you stay true when my world is false
everything around's breaking down to chaos
I always see you when my sight is lost
everything around's breaking down to chaos

I know you stay true when my world is false
everything around's breaking down to chaos
I always see you when my sight is lost
everything around's breaking down to chaos

Chaos, chaos

I know you stay true, yeah
I know you stay, yeah, yeah, yeah

I know you stay true when my world is false
everything around's breaking down to chaos
I know you stay.

I know you stay true when my world is false
everything around's breaking down to chaos
I know you stay.

I know you stay true and everything around's breaking down
I know you stay true and everything around's breaking down

I know you stay true when my world is false
everything around's breaking down to chaos
I always see you when my sight is lost
everything around's breaking down to chaos

I know you stay true when my world is false
everything around's breaking down to chaos
I always see you when my sight is lost
everything around's breaking down to chaos

The Words of the Wise prod us to live well.
They are like nails hammered home, holding life together.

~ Ecclesiastes 12:11

"words of - wise ones - like goads - and like nails - being embedded - masters of - assemblies - they are given - from sheepherding - particular"

That's what the Hebrew literally says. It's an obscure passage even in the Hebrew (and there's no punctuation, except to mark the verse's end); I could see a case for any of the translations BVS linked. Looks like what iron horse posted is from 'The Message,' which is a paraphrase rather than a translation.

Look at the stars
Look how they shine for you
And everything you do
Yeah, they were all yellow

I came along
I wrote a song for you
And all the things you do
And it was called yellow

So then I took my turn
Oh what a thing to have done
And it was all yellow

Your skin
Oh yeah, your skin and bones
Turn into something beautiful
You know, you know I love you so
You know I love you so

I swam across
I jumped across for you
Oh what a thing to do

Cos you were all yellow
I drew a line
I drew a line for you
Oh what a thing to do
And it was all yellow

Your skin
Oh yeah your skin and bones
Turn into something beautiful
And you know for you
I'd bleed myself dry for you
I'd bleed myself dry

It's true, look how they shine for you
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine for
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine

Look at the stars
Look how they shine for you
And all the things that you do

Please allow me to introduce myself
I'm a man of wealth and taste
I've been around for a long, long year
Stole many a man's soul and faith

And I was 'round when Jesus Christ
Had his moment of doubt and pain
Made damn sure that Pilate
Washed his hands and sealed his fate

Pleased to meet you
Hope you guess my name
But what's puzzling you
Is the nature of my game

I stuck around St. Petersberg
When I saw it was a time for a change
Killed the Czar and his ministers
Anastasia screamed in vain

I rode a tank
Held a general's rank
When the Blitzkrieg raged
And the bodies stank

Pleased to meet you
Hope you guess my name, oh yeah
What's puzzling you
Is the nature of my game, oh yeah

I watched with glee
While your kings and queens
Fought for ten decades
For the Gods they made

I shouted out
"Who killed the Kennedys?"
When after all
It was you and me

Let me please introduce myself
I'm a man of wealth and taste
And I laid traps for troubadors
Who get killed before they reached Bombay

Pleased to meet you
Hope you guessed my name, oh yeah
But what's puzzling you
Is the nature of my game, oh yeah, get down, baby

Pleased to meet you
Hope you guessed my name, oh yeah
But what's confusing you
Is just the nature of my game

Just as every cop is a criminal
And all the sinners saints
As heads is tails
Just call me Lucifer
'Cause I'm in need of some restraint

So if you meet me
Have some courtesy
Have some sympathy, and some taste
Use all your well-learned politesse
Or I'll lay your soul to waste, um yeah

Pleased to meet you
Hope you guessed my name, um yeah
But what's puzzling you
Is the nature of my game, um baby, get down

Woo, who
Oh yeah, get on down
Oh yeah
Oh yeah!

Tell me baby, what's my name
Tell me honey, baby guess my name
Tell me baby, what's my name
I tell you one time, you're to blame

Ooo, who
Ooo, who

What's my name
Tell me, baby, what's my name
Tell me, sweetie, what's my name

Ooo, who, who

~Jagger/Richards

"Sympathy is quite an uplifting song. It's just a matter of looking the Devil in the face. He's there all the time. I've had very close contact with Lucifer - I've met him several times. Evil - people tend to bury it and hope it sorts itself out and doesn't rear its ugly head. Sympathy for the Devil is just as appropriate now, with 9/11. There it is again, big time. When that song was written, it was a time of turmoil. It was the first sort of international chaos since World War II. And confusion is not the ally of peace and love. You want to think the world is perfect. Everybody gets sucked into that. And as America has found out to its dismay, you can't hide. You might as well accept the fact that evil is there and deal with it any way you can. Sympathy for the Devil is a song that says, Don't forget him. If you confront him, then he's out of a job."

~Keith Richards

The Stones are one of the beat musical groups ever. They have dozens of great songs. Sympathy for the Devil is definitely one.

Keith Richards probably knows as much about the devil as anyone.

The bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead is the crowning proof of Christianity.
If the resurrection did not take place, then Christianity is a false religion.
If it did take place, then Christ is God and the Christian faith is absolute truth,

~Henry Morris

no financeguy, no shades of grey.

the resurrection is unprovable and thus is a matter of faith. Faith is a personal matter between a human and his or her god. There, problem solved.

Some have theorised that the Big Bang may represent a bubbling out of the space-time surface of another universe, and that there may be an endless myriad of universes.

For me, that makes matters more, not less, awe inspiring. It also doesn't answer the question of why. BUt this is all off topic, let's get back to talking about Iron Horse's invitation to the one true path.

Unfortunately for Christianity, the ressurection is not the crowning proof of Christianity, a man made religion. Fortunately for the rest of us it is the proof of a loving God and proves to me that God is bigger than any religion.

But ask the animals, and they will teach you,
or the birds of the air, and they will tell you;

or speak to the earth, and it will teach you,
or let the fish of the sea inform you.

Which of all these does not know
that the hand of the LORD has done this?

In his hand is the life of every creature
and the breath of all mankind.

~Job 12:7-10

A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher.
He would either be a lunatic - on a level with the man who says he is a poached egg - or else he would be the Devil of Hell.
You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God; or else a madman or something worse.
You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill him as a demon; or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God.
But let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about His being a great human teacher.
He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to.

~C.S. Lewis
