I believe this is also the case with Russia - worried about their $$$ tied up in Iraq. True believers in diplomacy or simply seeing another side of the coin?

for the same reason they would not let us fly in their airspace *way back when*

they don't give a fuck.

they are pretty much a neutral country and feel no need to help allies because there will not be any repercussions.

i.e.





no one is invading, or attacking France.
