There is a lack of proper communication between people/nations and there is a lack of proper education.

Capitalism and Democracy, in my opinion, are NOT the end-all solutions. They are infact creating more problems in the world by ultimately empowering those that are greedy - for themselves.

Economic Imperialism is not only hurting other nations, but the US as well. What goes around... comes around.

The raw nature of both the UN, and the US gov't, are a joke. Both are easily manipulated and controlled by personal interest.

Just some of my thoughts ;)

Debate????? Isn't that what it is called?

Elvis can you give an example of what you mean by this?

I agree, on the other hand I don?t think you can characterize the UN nature as "raw". First you would have to define what organization of the UN you are thinking of.

Sure, its not all equalled out either - the so - called "Group of 77" may not have as much influence as other groups...

In my opinion, there isn't an "all-in-one" fix government-wise. Some nations are advanced enough to accept a capitalist democracy. Others, however, I think are more fit for a socialist democracy, or, even, a socialist dictatorship. Democracy is really only fit for nations that have a well-formed and educated middle / working class. The only problem with the dictatorship is to find someone benevolent enough to actually step down once the nation is educated for a democracy. Herein lies the problem I guess, but, overall, I don't think American-style capitalism is for every nation.

I was only making a joke boys...and we all know there are some around here that do attack.

Anyways, what melon said is correct. There are many nations that fit into the dictatorship role and socialist role. Like has been said before just because the USA does something it doesnt mean that it is always right. Different people and different financial situations produce different gov't.

Agree with Melon's points. A benevolent dictatorship is the best form of government - but we are all too weak to remain benevolent for it to work.

For the time being, I actually kind of agree with MELON to a certain degree. Over the longterm, as education and economic development spread across the globe, US style Capitalism and Democracy is what will work best and succeed.

For the most part I agree...
but I also don't think that " American-style capitalism" may even be for the US.

We tend to make an a priori assumption that the U.S. is qualified for this statement. However, I want everyone to think. Are we *really* qualified for this statement?

That would be like Jesus, right? Right?

No. This has nothing to do with religion.

If you've ever noticed, religion has caused/started more wars than it's ever stopped.

exactly. i don't think any government can work fully, and i don't like how we capitalists and democracies are going into these third-world countries, and fighting them to make them u.s. clones. my motto in life is live and let live. imo, we have enough problems in our plate that we should be concerned about, instead of going and picking fights. mind you, i'm not saying we should adopt our isolationist policy that we had in the early 1900s post-world war one, where we had our economic problems and shut the rest of the world out. it would be stupid to ignore our enemies and any threats we'd have. i just don't think us (or ANY capitalist country for that matter) should be imposing their beliefs.

that is all.
