To All My Democrat Friends:

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit,
my best wishes for an environmentally conscious,
socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive,
gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice
holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable
traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice,
or secular practices of your choice, with respect for
the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of
others, or their choice not to practice religious or
secular traditions at all. I also wish you a fiscally
successful, personally fulfilling and medically
uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the
generally accepted calendar year 2008, but not without
due respect for the calendars of choice of other
cultures whose contributions to society have helped
make America great. Not to imply that America is
necessarily greater than any other country nor the
only America in the Western Hemisphere . Also, this
wish is made without regard to the race, creed, color,
age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual
preference of the wishee.

To My Other (intelligent) Friends:

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

sounds like someone's been doin' some of that there readin' of them books and learnin' what ought not to be taught.

I think I may be sensing a teensy bit of bile in there somewhere. Your point is well-made, but color-coded or directionally-based political parties should stay out of the equation for full effect. Also, insulting the intelligence of other members is certainly not a great idea.

6/10

So the Jewish and Muslim posters aren't intelligent nor do they deserve a happy new year.

And all you non-believers, you aren't even true Americans.

This thread: negative stars!!!

6/10

Thread redeemed by second post being a 10/10.

Cheers, Lemon!

^Make that the 3rd post. My lack of god clearly removed all trace of intelligence. Also, the fact I am not a god fearing american addicted to fast food.

Geez.

ps, no offence to your post, irvine, by the way. you're alright and all that, but you're gay (and as a result you're probably a heathen!), and well, your posts will never be 10/10 thread redemtion worthy. sorry mate.
 :(

An often-overlooked corollary belief of those subversive miscreants who regard 'Happy Holidays' as a courteously neutral greeting for individuals whose religious and cultural background they don't know is, if you do know which holiday they celebrate, then naturally you make the greeting specific for that!! And, the nice thing about the Internet is you're never addressing individuals anyway, so...why not make it a Merry Christmas thread, eh? :sexywink:

it's something i've come to accept, my inherent inequality. no matter what i say, someone will always come back and say, "yes, but i'm straight with the Lord, and with my sexuality. so it counts more." and what am i to do but plead sin and go self-flagellate?"

clearly, if the love of Christ were in my heart, i'd be all about pussy.

 I'll buy you a new sarcasm detector for Kwanzaa, or Boxing Day, or whatever it is you celebrate.

Though my post may be ironic, considering your post may be sarcastic as well. A smiley or two would help. :reject:

Happy Festivus.

Now can we air out our grievances or what?

I think the one-star rating this thread has attracts more people than it repels. :lmao:

 I found this really funny (and I'm I guess what you'd call left-leaning so go figure).

There's a better version of the above in somebody's Inteference Journal. . .I can't remember which poster it was, but this is definitely not the first time I've seen this satire of the "politically correct" holiday wishes.

though really isn't holiday also offensive, as if we look at the root meaning of the word holiday it's actually "holy day" which references something holy and thus religious. . .and ah, never mind. . .

Season's Greetings everyone!

Anyway, thank you for whatever you wished me, diamond. Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas to everyone, even if your religion is utterly intolerant and hates me.

Libertarian here :)

Why are you wanting more big government to ban cupcakes
and umbrellas with sharp points?

Why not freedom?

*Merry Christmas

Long distance dedication to Diamond

I've been awake for a while now
You got me feelin like a child now
'Cause every time I see your bubbly face
I get the tinglies in a silly place

It starts in my toes
And I crinkle my nose
Wherever it goes
I always know
That you make me smile
Please stay for a while now
Just take your time
Wherever you go

The rain is falling on my window pane
But we are hiding in a safer place
Under covers staying dry and warm
You give me feelings that I adore

It starts in my toes
Make me crinkle my nose
Wherever it goes
I always know
That you make me smile
Please stay for a while now
Just take your time
Wherever you go

What am I gonna say
When you make me feel this way
I just mmmmm

And it starts in my toes
Makes me crinkle my nose
Wherever it goes
I always know
That you make me smile
Please stay for a while now
Just take your time
Wherever you go

I've been asleep for a while now
You tuck me in just like a child now
'Cause every time you hold me in your arms
I'm comfortable enough to feel your warmth

And it stats in my soul
And I lose all control
When you kiss my nose
The feelin' shows
'cause you make me smile baby
Just take your time now
Holdin' me tight

Wherever wherever wherever you go
Wherever wherever wherever you go

wherever you go
I always know
'Cause you make me smile
Even just for a while
