this is a good point.

once we say, "well, it's okay to torture for some things" the quesiton becomes a matter of degree.

and then the sadists take over. like in the Strasi. like in the KGB.

As good as feeding Islamic Terrorists pork sandwiches and making them watch porno. But then Saddam is in a different class of prisoner so the legal distinction is there.

He's in prison but they can't put a movie on for him to watch? What, did they stick his head in a vice and pry his eyes open so he couldn't look away?

I pray the media doesn't make a fuss about this, as it's completely unimportant.

But it is funny.

i think they put him in a jacket and held his eyelids open A Clockwork Orange style.

Who cares? It's just a movie....it's not like the soliders took photos of other soliders actually torturing him.

It is a great show and it's all in good fun...I don't think Saddam would really care, the only think I'd be humilliated about is almost the whole world hating you, he's gonna die in a few weeks what does he really care...It IS just a movie...

I don't know about Saddam, but crude animation featuring foul-mouthed children with grating voices makes me cringe. There may be great social commentary in there, but I can't get past the ugliness that is South Park. Maybe if I were twenty years younger I could appreciate it. Maybe not.

Let's have Bono, Chris Martin, Sting, and bunch of celebrity songwriters pack into a studio to record a benefit song for the rights of captured dictators and call it

DICT-AID

"...and they made him watch SOUTH PARK too
Well thank God it's him...instead of yoooooooooooouuuuuu!!!"
