I thought it was pretty good until the ending, which made absolutely no sense whatsoever. It doesn't hold a candle to the original, however, in my opinion.

That twist at the end was pretty senseless, my wife thinks its setting up a sequel, which wouldn't surprise me.

Bonoman, I hereby sentence you and myself to 30 lashes with a wet noodle for discussing something on this forum other than politics or spiritualty. Oh the horror of it all! What is this world coming to? How dare we upset rougerum this way. I just don't know what we were thinking.

Wait a minute, I just realized something. Rougerum, a efw posts ago, you started a thread about teh films of Stanley Kubrick. Why is it okay for you to discuss that on this forum but not for bonoman to discuss Planet Of The Apes?

The reason it is ok for me to talk about that and him not to talk about this is because my thread brought up an idea on how a work of art is constructed. It brought out ideas, something Free Your Mind in general is abut, this thread is just about if a movie is good or not. My thread dealt with a basic idea that would go for every work of art, thus my own theory and i tried to prove that theory through misconceptions of three different Stanley Kubrick films. So my thread was an investigation into see if that theory is indeed correct. That thread had ideas, this one doesn't, it is just about the quality of one film with comments like "it was pretty cool." These threads have their place in Lemonade Stand. Doesn't mean this thread is all bad, it just is in the wrong forum. That's all.

So I understand there's a love interest in this movie between Marky Marky and a female monkey...
Would this be considered "beastiality"???

Or maybe Marky Mark is too close to being a big monkey anyway???

I had heard about the love interest between the two, but thankfully, it just turned out to be one little kiss.

I liked it very much. Really makes you think (although I thought about it before) about the way us humans are treating other creatures. and I thought the end was cool and original, I don't think their intensions are neccessarily making a follow-up movie.
