I've also read about the philanthropist who helps him, there was an article about him once in the Boston Globe ..I can't remember his name

I would really encourage people to pick this up. Ever thought the expression "one person can change the world" was crap? Because this will blow that ship out of the water.

he's a medical anthropologist, which is what i do for a living! he just came to my city for a lecture last semester and is an amazing man. really at the forefront of challenging everyone to address the issue of health care disparities between the 1st and third worlds. I'm so happy to see others are reading his stuff
