the poll does not reflect the expected drop in popularity of canadian prime minister paul martin after his motorcade ran over a little girl in sudan today.

luckily, it seems she wasnt seriously injured.

I had wanted to post a similar article about Africans' perspective on world leaders earlier this month but felt it might be too divisive around the U.S. elections.

But I think that it is of utmost importance that when people in one part of the world want to have opinions about events and people in another part of the world, especially in the developing world which has been historically underdeveloped by the richer countries, that we consider the viewpoints of people from that region of the world. :yes:

To do anything less is really self-centered and unfair to the people that we are talking about.

A very thought-provoking thread - and a very necessary one. :wink:
