My old coworkers are safe. From what I am reading a holiday boutique was taking place today too put on by a vendor of regional center which might have included individuals with developmental disabilities attending.

Edited: The boutique with individuals with DD is tomorrow.

My old coworker is the facilities manager and said that the auditorium was used by San Bernardino Department of Public Health. I have no idea if they were targeted or if like I said, the gunmen thought that was the main building and went into because it was unlocked. When I worked in that building a lot of people would come in off the street thinking that building was the main building.

Yeah they were saying at one point that hospitals were receiving victims from these shootings while locking themselves down.

I'm curious about that, too. I had NBC on earlier and people were trying to analyze that part of things, too-one theory was the possibility of a disgruntled employee sort of scenario...but if that were the case, those people usually do these sorts of shootings alone, they don't bring other shooters with them. But again, it was just one of the many speculative theories tossed around.

I still say that eventually there will be some very noticeable pushback on this issue from the gun control side. I shudder to think of what the breaking point will be, but I do feel that some coalition of some sort has been quietly and slowly building since Sandy Hook, and eventually it'll become its own driving force. I certainly hope that'll be the case, anyway. But I just know that this insanity cannot last forever. Something has to give eventually.

Looks like they shot and killed at least one of the suspects, possibly live on TV via a news chopper feed.

Yeah, the SUV was obliterated with gunshots. Still, we don't know if this is related to the shooting at IRC.
