And this is going on and on in thousands of cities around the world. Simply incredible.

And not one person protesting for Saddam to disarm, to save all his peoples lives from the horror of war all he must do is give his weapons up and let inspectors really do their jobs. If he was so concerned about his people he would do this, but no-one protests for this, oh and what about the people he has killed again no protests for this!!

Hypocricy!!!

I think what this really shows is Bush's glaring lack of diplomacy. I have a feeling that Clinton could have amassed support for this war.

But we all know that all the protest in the world isn't going to change a thing...

Melon

I just read local reports talking about 20.000 people in Rio de Janeiro, and another 10.000 in other 6 capitals here in Brasil. That?s great.

bonoman, we've been beaten over the head for months by President Bush, his administration and, hell -- the media too -- about the evil of Sadaam. This will continue, i.e., from here on in the Bush administration will continue to force feed us the mantra that we need to bomb Iraq.
So you needn't worry.

Thanks for posting these pics, anitram.

And even if Bush and his regime don't respond to these protests, this has already been an occasion for people across the world to unite and express the same sentiment. Maybe we can all begin to realize that we're not so different...

Oh well, Sicy I'll borrow it. I already wrote my Senator and Rep about the Patriot II, so I might as well cement my name on Ashcrofts list.
I haven't been able to find pics yet of NYC & LA, but the police said NYC had over 500,000 and they always estimate low. It was a sight to behold on Worldlink. Cleveland wasn't bad for the size of the city. Last week the Republican Mayor sponsored a resolution making it one of the 107 cities on record as against the war.

I was in London today, and it was amazing - I can't believe how many people were there. Granted, I'm just now getting feeling back into my hands and feet, it was so cold...
My favorite sign was: 'It's not often I want to be German'.

OMG, Kiev!!! Wow, spiff!!  I haven't looked at all of the pix but I'm going to try to find Sofia, Bulgaria as well. Spiff sign about "not always wanting to be German".
