somebody posted a Frum in here a couple days back

I don't know if it was the same one.

The Dems do face some perils here. No doubt insurance costs will continue to go up.

Now, the GOP can blame it on this bill. And pretend like everything was great in the 'good old days' before Obama care.

They will find people to stand up and tell horrors stories.

The vote on the Rules for the Debate

206 - NO to 224 - YES

is this a precursor to the actual vote?

What's the price for that? We both know that no member of Congress will work for free.

Is that really a concern, in the scope of what is being accomplished here?

they held congress in session both Saturday and Sunday

true, (and I am sure the Insurance Companies and lobbyists will put a little extra in their Xmas stockings)

What's being accomplished is another unfunded entitlement, and it's forever.

That's why reconciliation is unprecedented and unfortunate for this kind of legislation.

Or to get this damn thing done.

But I'd still like to know how much a full weekend session of Congress paid all those Congressfolks.
