Jesse Jackson is No Martin Luther King Jr.

He speaks only dispair, not hope.

He only divides, never unites.

He seeks the spotlight, not the reality.

His words/actions are way below Martin Luther King Jr.

He has not carried the mantle in grace, but disgrace.

Jesse's not the leader MLK was. But heavens, how many times do we get a leader like that? Nobel Prize Peace Price winner and the works. There's no replacing him.

And John Brown of Harper's Ferry fame? I don't know if I would if I would catagorize him as one of the Greatest Americans.

Is Jackson as strong of a leader as MLK? No, but I'm not exactly sure it's worthy of a thread.

I was just wondering since I teach history. It was the phrase "history distorts" that intrigued me.
