Apart from Christ, I can do nothing, but "I can do all things through Christ Jesus, who strengthens me".
Christ is the one in whom I believe.
As far as believing in myself, no I don't. As a Christian, I believe the way Bono does in the song "Surrender", in which he says "And if I want to live, I've got to die to myself someday". That sums up what I believe. When someone accepts the Lord and becomes "born again", his old sinful nature is crucified with Christ and resurrected in him is the spirit of Christ; he now has the spirit of Christ dwelling within him. At that point, he becomes a "jar of clay", a "vessel" to contain Christ. From that point on, it is not hinmself ho lives, but Christ who lives in him. That's the point of surrender; to give control to Christ to live through you. The denial of your old nature so that Christ may do greta things through you. That is what my beliefs are. That is what I cling to in life. Jesus Christ is my rock.
