can someone tell me the meaning of the word bias, and how it can relate to someone of a certain religin, someone disabled and race.
hope you can help its for a college project.

"Biased" means "partial to". If you are biased against people of a certain race/religion/etc., it means you are prejudiced against them.

Not quite. A prejudice is an irrational hatred and is always negative. A bias is deliberate and based on a more rational preference.

it doesnt just refer to race and prejudice however.

you can be biased about anything.

Many say that they can not comment objectionably on certain topics because they are biased towards them.

For example, many people who critisize U2 would say that fans such as ourselves would not be able to be critical about U2 because we are biased.
