I check the web site.

It was short on information, but had links to "share with a friend" and "join the ACLU".

Money, my friend, is what drives the world.

Rather than address the legitimate concerns they are raising, you suggested that their raising of these concerns was largely motivated by a drive to get new members in and/or taking advantage of the wiretapping issue.

Of course, the ACLU doesn't run itself for free.

The concerns raised by the web site mixes issues of current technology, the limited wiretapping currently conducted on incomming international calls, and collection of data by private corporations. No clear addressing of an issue - other than to suggest that privacy will be "eliminated completely".

Nothing more.

It would be interesting to see how much the ACLU pulls in each year.
