suppose a nation were to have a document gauranteeing its citizens freedoms of expression.
further suppose the government of this nation believed that the national memory, heritage and pride of citizenship were slowly ebbing under influence from the social influences of the friendly neighbour to the nations border.
what should the nation do?
i am approaching this from the canadian perspective. this is, in part, the subject of my work, and it was certainly the subject of my post-secondary education. but it occurs to me that ive never looked outside of the nation. how im curious how others see this dilemna. and i want to read about something aside from the election.
